Joy As An Act Of Resistance

This solo exhibition by Iranian-born American visual artist Amir H. Fallah explores the mental fatigue caused by the ongoing pandemic — looking at, in particular, the idea of experiencing joy as a means of revenge and other acts of resistance. The title is taken from a featured work that (unwittingly) references the desire to make up for lost spending following lockdown, i.e. “revenge shopping”.
