Hidden Narratives: Portraits of Resilience in Hong Kong’s Migrant Domestic Helper Community

Gretchen So’s photography exhibition sheds light on the invaluable contributions and stories of the Indonesian and Filipina helpers within our community. Featuring 30 beautiful works, “Hidden Narratives” showcases remarkable resilience, vitality and joy during leisure moments — centring migrant domestic workers who’ve been in the city since the 1970s and who endure long hours, limited privacy and other challenges.
