whats new in the 852 Redhouse

Redhouse

After opening its first location in California Tower at the beginning of this year, modern Chinese restaurant, Redhouse has now opened up shop in Causeway Bay. Featuring a menu that ranges from Redhouse signature roast meats and premium seafood dishes to vegetarian bites and dim sum, guests are encouraged to embrace the customary approach of sharing dishes that is deeply rooted in Chinese culture. What’s more, for a limited time, diners will be able to enjoy a 50% discount on selected dim sum dishes, available from Monday to Friday at lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Diners who spend more than $200 at Redhouse Causeway Bay will also receive a $100 cash voucher per table!

Te Quiero Mucho

Looking for a tasty lunch but short on time? Te Quiero Mucho has you covered with its new “Lunch Rapido”. Featuring a unique special for every day of the week, including signature tacos, burritos and tostadas, the restaurant promises that you’ll have your food in a speedy 10 minutes! Available Monday to Friday from 12pm to 5pm, the new menu is priced at $88 and includes a soft drink or a refreshing aqua fresca. Dishes on offer include the Roasted Pollo on Monday, the Taco Trio (featuring Carnitas, Baja Fish, and the infamous Trump Taco) on Tuesday, and the Veggie Trio on Thursday, along with other flavour-packed weekday specials.

Gough’s on Gough

Known for serving fresh and seasonal British fare, we’ve long loved Gough’s on Gough’s classic menu, featuring the likes of traditional Sunday roasts, Beef Wellington and more. And now you can get a taste of refined pub classics at the ground floor Piranha Bar. Available Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 10pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 7pm, don’t miss trying no-fuss favourites such as the fish finger sandwich ($68), beef dripping chips ($58) and bacon sandwich ($68). If you’re looking for a slightly more sophisticated dish to accompany your drink, try the grilled scallop ($128) or half-grilled lobster and chips (market price).

Beef & Liberty whats new in the 852

Beef & Liberty

Sick of your usual beef burger and after something a little different? Available from now until Sunday, 27 October, try out the new Greek-inspired “Lambrosia’” at Beef & Liberty. On the menu at all B&L locations (including the newly opened shop in Wong Chuk Hang!), the burger features a grilled organic “Rhug Estate” lamb patty, topped with tzatziki, cherry tomatoes, red onion, mint and cucumber. Priced at $129, the burger is also available as a lunch set ($167), including one side and one drink.

WHISK

In celebration of the hotel’s 10th anniversary, WHISK at The Mira is putting on two nights of special dinners this September. Taking place on Friday, 20 and Saturday, 21 September, the menu has been co-created by Chef Vanessa Huang of Taipei’s Ephernité, one of the pioneers of “farm to table” concept in Taiwan, and accomplished Thai Chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn, who has recently been awarded a Michelin-star for his Le Du in Bangkok, (ranked at number 20 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2019).

For this special appearance at The Mira, both chefs will contribute four dishes to the special eight-course dinner menu ($1,788). Dishes include deep-fried mini crabs, edamame and bean curd tempura; smoked barracuda and thai rice wine; snowfish and chu-chee curry; lobster two Ways; “riz au lait à la mangue” (mango rice pudding) and more. An optional wine pairing is also available for an additional $380.

ALTO Bar & Grill whats new in the 852

ALTO Bar & Grill

We’re always on the hunt for brand new brunches and ALTO’s offering – which combines plenty of food, free-flow drinks and stunning views – has caught our eye. Priced at $328, the new offering features a starter buffet of salads, hot and cold seafood and more, along with a choice of main course and desserts from the buffet table. Mains on offer include impossible veggie hash, salmon Benedict, steak and eggs, french toast and more. Add two-hours of free-flow sparkling, red and white wine, cocktails, juice and soft drinks for an additional $188.

Nectar

Previously Grassroots Pantry, newly-transformed Nectar is now serving brunch. The new weekend menu is priced at $550 per person and features a two-hour free-flow selection of tapas-style small plates. Dishes include a plant-based take on caesar salad, along with sweet potato liège waffles with house-made ice cream, a zero-waste banana cake and more. Guests can also add on free-flow wine (for an additional $180) or “elixir flow” (additional $158), which includes a range of healthful tonics, including the Indonesian pick-me-up Jamu, a mix of turmeric, tamarind, coconut nectar and lemon.
