A good drink shouldn’t cost the world, and luckily for us, our city offers up numerous deals, meaning we don’t have to pay the big bucks come 5pm! The good news is that Central is full of amazing bars, that are offering up equally amazing deals so there’s always somewhere to stop in for a quick one. From alfresco bars to classic favourites, we’ve rounded up the best happy hours in the area.
99 Bottles technically doesn’t “do” a happy hour, it just offers up great prices at all times! An unbeatable one to know in the area, this Peel Street bar serves up a selection of international and local craft beers, spirits and wines for as little as $45.

Found in Tai Kwun, Amoury offers one of the most popular drinks deals in Central. Daily from 3pm to 8pm, enjoy a selection of drinks for as little as $50 while overlooking the picturesque courtyard of the old police headquarters.

Everyone knows and loves Beef & Liberty for its great burgers, but its happy hour also tempts us in frequently. Head to the LKF location from Tuesday to Saturday, between 6pm and 8pm, to enjoy drinks starting from just $33, with house beers at $50 and select cocktails also available for $60.

Another Tai Kwun favourite, get ready to get banged up with Behind Bars’ happy hour special. Its beat the clock deal features drinks starting at just $35 at 4pm, with the offer ending at 8pm with drinks at just $50.

Big Sur’s drinks menu is home to many craft beers, with 14 rotating taps of local craft beers featuring in its daily happy hour. Head here from 3pm and enjoy a drink for as little as $50. Beer not for you? Big Sur also offers G&T on tap during happy for $75. Guests can enjoy their drink in the spacious dining room, though we think it’s best enjoyed on the outside terrace, watching the world go by.

With its Central location and super cheap prices, we frequent Chi Chi Cham time and time again for its happy hour deal. Between 3pm and 8pm, drinks here range between just $30 and $40, with beers, spirits, wine and prosecco all on offer. If you’re feeling peckish, make sure to order some of the restaurants izakaya-style small plates, with yakitori skewers, sashimi and more on offer.

Ever-buzzing Vietnamese restaurant, Chôm Chôm never has trouble drawing a crowd, and with its daily happy hour, we know why. Get yourselves down to Peel Street to enjoy a Phojito pitcher for $148, or go for six Saigon beers for $228. You can also tuck into a bucket of Vietnamese Fried Chicken for just $88, every single day of the week!

This Peel Street coffee shop is busy at all times of the day for good reason. Not only does it serve Aussie-style coffee and breakfast dishes during the day, but come night time, it’s one of our favourite spots for a drink. Don’t miss its “Fifty Buck Happy Hour” which runs from 4pm to 8pm (Tuesday to Saturday), and features select craft beers, wines and house cocktails!

Sometimes, all you want on a hot day is a cool and refreshing beer. Feel the same? Look no further than Fini’s in SoHo. It offers free-flow Asahi beer, alongside all-you-can-eat chicken wings and fries for just $108, every weekday from 5pm to 7pm.

Step back in time and enjoy a weekday drinks deal with Foxglove’s “Mad Men Hour”. For $60 guests can enjoy a selection of drinks from Betty Draper’s personal collection, including wines, spirits and beers, or for $80, you can treat yourself to an expertly-made table-side cocktail. Classic drinks fans will want to order Don’s Old Fashioned, or opt for Joan’s Vanilla Martini.

Havana is offering up fun deals from Monday to Wednesday at its LKF location. Head here on Monday nights, for two-for-one drinks, including mojitos, beers and wine. Fancy a go behind the bar? On Tuesday nights, you’ll be able to DIY your own cocktail (and get a free Havana hat!), or save yourself for Wednesday’s ladies night – with free-flow mojitos for just $88, from 8pm to 10pm.

Head to the hidden red door on Wyndham Street and enter into British salon, Hugger Mugger for its daily happy hour. We love the sound of the Punjab Sour, with Stolichnaya vodka, lime juice, mango puree, simple syrup, cream and basil leaf.

There’s nothing better than having something delicious to munch on to go with your drink, and MEATS gives us just that! Calling all wine lovers! Hong Kong’s first and only Burgundy-focused wine restaurant PIIN is offering a fantastic Bar Hour, complete with snacks! Available Monday to Saturday from 5:30pm to 8pm and 10pm until late, enjoy an expertly curated wine flight of three premium wines starting at just $400. A glass of PIIN’s sommelier-selected wine of the week is also available before 8pm for $80 up. Pro-tip: get there early to snag a seat on the terrace!

This is one of our absolute favourites because it is right in the heart of SoHo – talk about convenience! It also offers one of the best deals in town, with all-you-can drink house wine, Asahi beer, prosecco and house spirits for $208! Running from 5pm to 7pm on weekdays, Posto Pubblico also offers the same deal on weekends between 10pm and 12am.

Brought to us from the team behind tapas favourite Pica Pica, Rubia is the city’s newest Spanish restaurant, centrally located on Hollywood Road. Whilst its main speciality is premium Spanish cuts of beef, this new tapas hotspot also does a cracking happy hour deal. Think two-for-one on drinks including house wine, lager and selected cocktails (the Sherry Tonic and Americano). With prices starting at $42, it’d be rude not to!

A SoHo classic; enjoying a drink street side at Stazione Novella is pretty much a city institution. The Italian-style bar serves up classic cocktails such as negronis, aperol spritz and even espresso martinis on tap, along with wines and beers. But the best bit? With the purchase of any drink between 5pm and 8pm, you’ll get access to its epic aperitivo spread!

The Globe is well-known in the city for offering classic pub vibes, an almost endless beer selection and classic comfort food dishes.
