Meet and mingle at this hip and hidden jaunt

We’re always scouting out the best new restaurants and bars in the city, and lately we’ve been looking to Kowloon for fantastic views and delicious food away from the typical Soho/Central crowds. After ‘um-ing’ and ‘ah-ing’, we decided to let Sassy readers in on our little foodie secret… the Bostonian Seafood and Grill, one of our favourite restaurants in Tsim Sha Tsui that exudes cool and is the perfect place to meet and mingle.

Hidden under The Langham, Hong Kong hotel, The Bostonian has recently been revamped. It now boasts an urban interior that uses industrial textures and reclaimed style to create a truly unique environment. New little details are scattered throughout the 422 square meter space – think ship wood of all shapes and sizes, handcrafted copper and rustic metal profiles, contemporary wall art, industrial lights and custom furnishings. This secret spot is seriously cool with a craft brew bar perfect for post-work pints, a private champagne room for special occasions and incredible sharing plates of seafood.

The Bostonian has been a favourite Hong Kong restaurant for some time now; the fresh, sustainable seafood and organic ingredients keeping regulars coming back for more. With a new look comes new dishes, and Executive Chef Pedro Samper has added a few new delicacies and sharing plates to the mix! Think Black Cod Fish and Clams in “Salsa Verde” Sauce and Braised Iberico Pork Cheeks in Tempranillo Wine… we’re drooling at the thought. If you really want to go all out, the one-pound Lobster Thermidor or 21 ounce premium cut USDA Prime Cowboy Steak are guaranteed crowd pleasers that will sate any appetite.

There’s also a delectable selection of fresh oysters on offer – we love the sound of the ‘You and I’ oyster with Hokkaido sea urchin, seaweed, sesame and salmon roe, and the baked ‘Angels on Horseback’ stuffed with pancetta and porcini mushrooms. Despite all the delicious new dishes, fans of the restaurant will be pleased to know that all-time faves like the Bostonian Lobster Bisque, the traditional Fish and Chips and the Crab Cakes are still on the menu.

Finish off your meal on a sweet note with the Milk Chocolate dessert, the Pavlova with dulce de leche ice-cream and the Baked Alaska… trust us, you won’t be disappointed!

A new design has given this well-loved Hong Kong restaurant a new vibe, and we’ve got to admit that we love it. A bit more laid-back and oozing cool, the Bostonian is our new go-to spot for amazing, high quality seafood and stellar drinks. Whether you’re looking for a delicious meal in a trendy space, or just somewhere to enjoy a few glasses of your favourite tipple after a long day at work, the Bostonian is a must-visit this Autumn.
