Liquid foundation is the go-to product for this look – something with a light to medium coverage, full of light-reflecting pigment. Chanel’s Vitalumière Aqua is a cult classic and rightly so. This skin-perfecting foundation is water-based (shake well before use!) and the finish is smooth, natural and velvety. Apply with a damp make up sponge or makeup brush for a flawless result.

Under eye bags are not an option when we need to glow for it! What’s more upsetting is when your concealer looks drab – or worse – cakey. Dab on Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (use your ring finger!) for an instant lift that will take years off.

Keep the eyes contoured but subtle. A light swash of Tom Ford’s Eyeshadow Quad in Golden Mink will give you give right amount of definition without looking dark or heavy. Swipe Nars’s Larger Than Life Longwear nude eyeliner in your water line to really make your peepers pop.

Dot Clinique’s Cheek Pop in “Melon Pop” onto the apples of your cheekbones for a fun splash of colour and shine. Blend it softly so you don’t look like you’ve been playing with Mummy’s makeup!

Highlighter can be intimidating. There is a fine line between looking glowy and appearing sweaty. Which is why it’s important to use the right technique when applying. As with concealer, only use your ring finger to dab Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfecter onto the top of your cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose.

If you choose a powder highlight (I suggest the iconic Film Star Bronze and Glow by Charlotte Tilbury) make a “3” shape with your brush from your forehead to under your cheekbone and finish under your jaw line.

Nude, natural lips are understated but can be very sultry. Stay away from anything too pale or drying.
