You’re Invited: A Night of Korean Cuisine with Divine Marinade

24 September, 2014

In case you hadn’t noticed, everyone is going crazy for all things Korean at the moment! From K-Pop and Gangnam style, to Korean dramas… and of course, we can’t forget Korean cuisine. Here at Sassy we absolutely love Korean food – bring on the Bibimbap and barbecue! That’s why we were so excited when we discovered Divine Marinade, a Hong Kong based brand that creates delicious and healthy Korean sauces. Time to loosen up your belts and get ready for a feast, as we’re teaming up with Divine Marinade for a Sassy night of Korean Cuisine!

Starting at 7pm, the night will of course begin with special Soju cocktails and wine from Schmidt Vinothek to get you going. You’ll then be treated to fabulous cooking demonstrations from Sandra Rhow-Haik and Wendy Hegglin, the founders of Divine Marinade! They’ll be letting you in on some of their kitchen tips and tricks as they create delicious Korean dishes that include Eggplant, Lotus Root, Chick Peas, Korean Quesadillas, Traditional Kalbi, Bibimbap, Japche Noodles and Pork Belly… yum!

Once you’ve seen Sandra and Wendy create their magic, you’ll get to enjoy their creations for dinner – arguably the best part of the evening! And obviously we couldn’t forget dessert… Piece of Cake will be providing incredible Salted Caramel Fudge Brownies as a sweet end to this Korean feast (we could not stop eating them at the Sassy office!). You’ll also get the chance to enjoy a Q&A with Sandra and Wendy to find out how they make their soy and sesame-based sauces so tasty (yep – they’re ideal marinades for veggies!).

If you just can’t get enough of Divine Marinade’s delicious flavours, now’s your chance to take them home with you! All guests will leave with a goodie bag that includes a bulgogi sauce from Divine Marinade, worth $60 (4 for $200) and their awesome recipe sheets. Their sauces contain no additives, preservatives or flavorings, all ginger, garlic and spring onions are fresh. Their sauces have no meat in it, making it perfect for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Time to practice those cooking skills!
