Au Soleil Summer Pool Party

Brian Cox “UNIVERSAL” World Tour 2019

ArtisTree Selects: Theatre Bites “If Not Me, Who?”

This year’s World Environment Day (Wednesday, 5 June) is set to be held in China, “encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment”! Continue learning with “If Not Me, Who?”, a piece of eco-theatre that looks at the effects of climate disruption and how we can be motivated to change our way of life. Written and directed by HKYAF’s founder Lindsey McAlister, the 50-minute show will look at veganism, fast fashion, first world problems and the catastrophic environmental changes we are already experiencing. Head to Taikoo Place on select dates from Friday, 14 June to Saturday, 22 June for this emotional roller coaster performed by a cast of professional Hong Kong-based artists.

Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival 2019

Watch the world’s top dragon boat athletes battle it out at the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races. Taking place from Friday, 14 to Sunday, 16 June, it’s set to be an exciting three days of racing that will fill the harbour with the sound of drummers, colourful boats, and cheering crowds pushing their favourite teams to the finish line. Enjoy a few beers and get your fill of local and international food at the fleet of food trucks.

Titanic The Musical – Hong Kong Premiere

Get your culture fix this month and head to HKAPA for this large cast rendition of the famous sailing and sinking of “The Ship of Dreams” in Titanic the Musical. It’s its first time in Hong Kong and will be presented by award-winning performing arts training company Face Productions. The performance will take place for one weekend only, so don’t miss out!

Ride For Justice: Fundraising Urban Cycle Ride For World Refugee Day

In honour of the United Nation’s World Refugee Day (Thursday, 20 June), Justice Centre Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Cycling Alliance are co-hosting a fundraising cycle ride starting at Lai Chi Kok and finishing in Jordan. You can bring your own bike or hire one ($160), and will receive a bib to wear on the day. Make sure to register now.

Proceeds will go to Justice Centre Hong Kong, that provides free legal and psychosocial assistance to Hong Kong’s most vulnerable forced migrantsLearn more about the organisation here.
