It’s that time of year when All Hallows’ Eve rolls around and Hong Kong gets set for a night to remember – or forget. With everything happening around town from free-flow spooktaculars, to furry friend fancy dress parties and much more, here are our picks for the best Hong Kong Halloween parties and events for 2019.

Got Balls? Fright Night

On Friday, 25 October, Got Balls? is back with a special Halloween Fright Night event. Expect an evening of singing, dance offs, live performances, and (of course!) three games of spooky bingo. Alongside the entertainment, ticket holders can enjoy two-and-a-half hours of free-flow vodka and rum mixers, prosecco and a spooky house cocktail.

When: Friday, 25 October, 7:30pm to 11pm

Ham & Scary at Back Bar

This Halloween, Ham & Sherry is going Ham & Scary with its annual Halloween event, taking place within speakeasy, Back Bar. Not only will there be a bottle of aged rum going for the scariest costume of the evening, (and the runner-up will go home with a bottle of tequila!), but there will also be hip-hop tunes and plenty of drinks and snacks. Get set to sink your fangs into special cocktails, including Bloody Mary Syringes and complimentary bar snacks, including “Blood” Croquettes.

Satanic Panic at the Disco

It’s time to don your best costume and join Los Sotano for one night only at its Satanic Panic at the Disco party. The night promises to be full of dark arts, danceable hits and prizes for best costumes – along with special cocktails and more.

Halloween Party at Whiskers N Paws

Halloween fun isn’t just reserved for humans, so this year Whiskers N Paws is going all out for the occasion. The whole store will be decked out to celebrate, complete with floor-to-ceiling decorations, inflatable props and spooky displays. Expect a doggy obstacle course and free goodie bags, plus treats for your furry friends. What’s more, dog identity tag engraving will be available on the day, along with dog popcorn and ice cream. Costumes are 100% encouraged.

Halloween Party Reloaded at ZUMA

Inspired by The Matrix, , ZUMA’s Halloween Party Reloaded promises to be an unforgettable night. The event will feature ZUMA Dubai’s resident DJ Adrien Callier on the decks, accompanied by violinist Olivia Dawn,  Benjy on percussion and Gabriel on trumpet – not to mention plenty of free-flow Champagne and cocktails. For  those  looking  to  start  their  Halloween  celebrations a little earlier,  ZUMA  will  also be hosting a Halloween edition of its Yashoku Night Brunch from 8pm until 10pm.

The Addams Family Halloween at aqua

Happening on Halloween night, aqua’s The Addams Family Halloween party is sure to be a theatrical and spooky affair. Offering some of the best views in town, the late-night party will be complete with cocktails, Veuve Clicquot Champagne, canapés and a live DJ.

When: Thursday, 31 October, from 9pm

Day of the Dead at Te Quiero Mucho

Celebrate the Day of the Dead at Mexican cantina, Te Quiero Mucho this Halloween! The fiesta will feature live DJs and a Day of the Dead makeup artist along with free-flow drinks and tacos all night long. Make sure to come dressed to impress as the prize for the best costume is a one night stay at Mojo Nomad Central!

Held in the aptly spooky venue of Tai Kwun’s prison cells, Behind Bars guarantees a creepy night. Taking place from 9pm until late, DJ Fire Aux will be spinning disco and house tunes, while free-flow Perrier Jouet Grand Brut, wine, cocktails, mocktails, beer and spirits will be on offer.

Containing its popular Drag Me To Late Brunch series, W Hong Kong is putting on a Halloween party to remember. Inspired by the iconic horror film, “The Shining”, Drag Me to Yelloween will feature drag queen performances and live DJ music, letting you relive the thrill and chill of the tale – all while sipping on Veuve Clicquot.

Nightmare on Elm Street We Love 80’s Brunch Party at Tokyolima

TokyoLima’s 80’s brunch party will be taken up a notch with an eerie touch this month. The “Nightmare on Elm Street” weekend fiesta will feature Nikkei dishes and mysterious decorations, along with chillingly good tunes and a playfully haunted vibe. Guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion and make the most of the Bloody Ponche Station – not to mention the unmissable 80’s Dessert Station.

Doomsday: A Night Not to be Remembered at CÉ LA VI

Head up to the Sky Deck at CÉ LA VI and get set to party at Hong Kong island’s highest Halloween party. The Club Lounge downstairs will also be transformed into a haunted den for the occasion, where DJ Fudge and Funky will be spinning spooky tunes. We know all about La Vache!’s famed Le Disco Brunch, and this month’s edition is getting a Halloween makeover. Enjoy the free-flow brunch soiree, complete with a live DJ set and dress up contest starting at 12pm.

Another pooch-friendly Halloween event can be found at Stazione Novella. Dress up your furry friend and enjoy a coffee or espresso martini on the house, with all pup participants receiving a house-made Pupperoni! Dog parents will be able to tuck into the aperitivo spread from 12pm to 2pm and there will be a special surprise for the best-dressed hound.

AWA’s Halloween Pub Quiz
