After another four-day week, we’re already feeling like it’s the weekend! We can’t wait to chill out and treat ourselves… Stop by the second Made in HK pop-up at The Space for some green goods, stretch it out at Yoga Bam Bam this Sunday and spruce up your home with pieces from Decor8! Decor8 is an amazing furniture and home décor store that’s stacked with everything you need to make your house feel like a home. That’s why we’re excited to report that Decor8 is opening its second furniture and home decor showroom in Wan Chai this weekend! Their new showroom will showcase their collection of Brazilian cowhides, retro reproduction chairs, sofas, solid wood furniture, eclectic lighting, dining and coffee tables. After the amazing success of Green Queen’s Made in HK pop-up in March, we decided to team up with them again for a second round this May! If you’re looking for all things homemade and homegrown, this is the perfect place to stop by. With some amazing local artisanal vendors who will be offering a range of handcrafted, sustainable products, this is a unique market you can’t miss. Eat some delicious food (picnic-style) at the Green Queen Cafe, take some organic fare home with you at the Green Queen Supermarket, and treat yourself to some locally made products at the Green Queen Living section. Support these local businesses and treat yourself to some goodness!

Hong Kong’s yogis have been talking about the opening of Yoga Bam Bam for months, and this Sunday 4 May marks the studio’s opening! In Jamaican, ‘Bam Bam meetings’ are gatherings where everyone brings something to the party, and that’s exactly what will be happening. With free trial classespaid workshops and performances, there’s something for everyone (including kids and families). So get yourself down there to try out what this new studio with an artistic twist has to offer – from AcroYoga to Canto Yoga (learn Cantonese in downward dog!), Inversions to Kintifitti (if you’ve been loving Esther Poon’s artwork, you’ll love this class), the party will be going on throughout the day! All are welcome… get ready to have some yogi fun!

Francophiles, you’ll be pleased to know that today is the official start of ‘Le French May’! That’s right, a whole month dedicated to all things fabulous and French. To coincide with HK’s heaviest arts month (Art Basel is just around the corner!), Le French May will be showcasing the best of French creativity, arts and culture, including exhibitions, films and performances. And of course, the foodies had to get in on the Frenchie action too! Le French GourMay is Hong Kong’s French Food and Wine Festival, which will be held alongside Le French May. Featuring over 69 restaurants, this year the region of Rhône Valley will be celebrated with special deals, discounts and menus. Bon appétit!

Looking for a different way to spend your Sunday? Head over to Tai Koo for the first Sunday Social event! Chill out at this new warehouse location by listening to some great music by Paragon Sound System, tucking into some delicious food from Tai Tai Pie Pies and sipping on some craft beer by HK Brewcraft. This is the perfect opportunity to meet some interesting and creative people in a super relaxed setting – cheers to that! We can’t wait to try the drunken apple crumble and wholly heaven pecan bites (amongst other sweet and savoury treats) from Tai Tai Pie Pies… get there early so you don’t miss out!
