17 February, 2012

The V-Day madness may be over… but that just means the start of another action-packed week in the 852! Get flipping those pancakes girls!
Bon appetit!
The Brits amongst you know it as Pancake Day (or Shrove Tuesday during R.E. lessons!), in France it’s the Mardi Gras… but one thing we know for sure is that it’s a great excuse to scoff down some crepes! Chef Jullien Renault will be cooking up a crepe storm at Entourage throughout the week, so forget about making a mess in your kitchens and head down there for some scrummy pancake goodness instead!

After all, your trash is someone else’s treasure!

Experience Amy Lee’s powerful vocals in person as Evanescence bring their unique dramatic sound to Hong Kong for one night only – just don’t try and hit those high notes yourself! It’s a case of two for the price of one as British rockers Bush (i.e. chance to ogle Gwen Stefani’s husband, Gavin Rossdale) are the support.

When: 21 February, 8pm
Where: Viva Hall 5, Asia World Expo, Lantau, Hong Kong
How much: $688-888, www.hkticketing.com, 3128 8288

The art of the geisha
Read Memoirs Of A Geisha? Watched those episodes of Next Top Model where the contestants get sent to Japan to learn geisha skills (and fail miserably!)? Well, now you can experience the real thing – The Geisha of Gion will be showcasing this beautiful and delicate Japanese tradition in person. This is a rare opportunity to see the six geisha dancing, singing and playing instruments in such an intimate setting; the first night is at the IFC whilst the rest take place in the relaxing outdoor surroundings of Nan Lian Garden.

When: 17 February, 7.30pm & 9.30pm; 18-19 February, 2pm, 4pm & 7pm
