Walk the Aisle in Style

Whether your big day is fast approaching, or you just enjoy lusting after all things bridal, your search for something a little less traditional is over. With many amazing and affordable brands having recently launched their own capsule bridal wear and wedding collections, look no further than the high street (or your Internet browser) to find your dream look.

Gone are the days of classic gowns! Alternative shapes, styles and even jumpsuits are becoming the norm in the wedding world. After all, it’s your big day – you want to look your best and stay true to your own individual style! whistles bridal wear

It was only in January that the British high street favourite opened its first store in Harbour City and graced the 852 with its presence. But earlier this month, Whistles wowed brides-to-be (and girls in general!) by launching its very first bridal collection. As a go-to for classic shapes and luxe materials with a modern twist, the designs incorporate its signature look into what has to be one of the best bridal collections yet.

Ladies, feast your eyes on classic floor skimming and shoulder-baring lace, along with modern jumpsuits and tiered midis. Perfect for those looking for a fresh take on bridal wear! Along with its store in TST, Whistles also offer shipping to Hong Kong for just GBP 8 (and free returns!), with gown prices starting from GBP 499.

asos bridal wear

A great option for when you’re in need of something in a hurry (hello, free delivery!), ASOS went one step further in 2016 and answered the prayers of women across the globe by launching its own online wedding collection. Complete with looks for brides, bridesmaids and wedding guests, along with a whole range of accessories, shoes and lingerie, ASOS has ticked all the boxes (it even has a range for men).

Keeping to its affordable price point, the dresses range from $700 – $4,000, making the brand an accessible and stylish option for everyone out there! ASOS not only stocks its own bridal collection, but host a range of designer labels and brands, as well as plus-size and petit options.

net-a-porter bridal collections

Style-savvy ladies will no doubt be familiar with the online shopping haven, Net-A-Porter. For brides-to-be, its “Modern Bride” collection is definitely one to check out. Stocking big names and labels from the likes of Stella McCartney, Self Portrait and Temperley London (to name but a few) and with easy same-and next-day delivery, shopping with Net-A-Porter is a breeze.

For a slightly more affordable bridal option, we love British label Needle & Thread for its feminine lace and beautifully embellished pieces, along with a selection of gorgeous bridal separates. Net-A-Porter also offers a stunning range of jewellery, shoes and accessories, ideal for adding finishing touches to your look.

topshop bridal wear

When we heard back in the Summer that Topshop is preparing to launch its very own bridal and wedding collection, we knew it was something to get excited about. Known as the epitome of high street ‘cool,’ its ready-to-wear staples are a hit with girls everywhere.

Launching in April, the new capsule collection promises a mix of bridal wear, bridesmaids dresses accessories and lingerie and (if the preview images are anything to go by!) they’re going to be gorgeous. The bridal dresses will start at GBP 350 and the bridesmaids dresses will start from GBP 85. There is also a second collection set for autumn/winter 2017, so watch this space!

Free People

The free-spirited brand wowed everyone last year with its romantic and boho-inspired bridal collection. Although the full collection is no longer available, we’re crossing our fingers for a similar follow up line soon! For now, though, if you’re after a more casual approach to bridal wear, take a look at Free People’s selection of white dresses. For the laid-back and nontraditional, go long and floaty, or short and lacy and you’ll be set for the relaxed beach front wedding of your dreams…
