Get ready for an all-new programme of Blockbuster movies, food offerings and wellness events at The Grounds.

The Grounds is back at AIA Vitality Park for a second season, with an elevated space and new features to enjoy from the comfort of your own private pod. Officially open to the public from Thursday, 13 October, expect a whole host of different ticketed events. What Events Are Happening At The Grounds?

The second season kicks off with a selection of Blockbuster movies, including “Elvis”, “Jurassic Park” and the Harry Potter series, among various other classics. This year, The Grounds is also partnering with independent Hong Kong film distributer Golden Scene Cinema to screen a some local productions and arthouse gems such as “Keep Rolling”, “Suk Suk” and “The Way We Dance”.

For guests wanting squeeze in a little workout or mindfulness session before settling in for their screening, they can choose to take part in a series of wellness events with lululemon. As The Grounds’ wellness partner this year, lululemon will host a range of wellbeing experiences, including yoga, fitness and mindfulness classes led by their ambassadors.


How Does It Work?

The space is set up with socially-distanced, open air pods that seat four people. Health and safety continue to be a priority at The Grounds. All guests are required to pre-register when purchasing a ticket and conduct a temperature check at the entrance. Face masks are mandatory when moving around the venue.

What Dining Options Are Available?

No good movie night is complete without good food. At The Grounds, you’ll be able to enjoy a diverse menu of gastronomic delights courtesy of a selection of new vendors from BaseHall, including FRANCIS, Return of Lemak, Bengal Brothers and Benko by Nüte. Old favourites from BaseHall will also be available such as Honbo, Moyo Sik, Cô Thành, and Pub 1842.

As for drinks, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the options from partners Aperol Spritz, ONLY, Orion, Jebsen Wine & Spirits and Perrier. Cocktails, beer, wine, coffee, juice and more will be available, as well as free branded popcorn when buying using VISA cards.

Order food and drinks to your pod via the contactless ordering app accessible by the QR code on your table or directly at the bar.

How Much Are Tickets?

Prices for events at The Grounds vary based on the event, but to give you an idea, a Classic Pod starts from $800 for four persons, while the Prime Pods start from $1,200 for four persons. This year, guests can also snap up one of the five new Luxe Pods (pictured above), which start from $3,200 for four persons and includes a mix of deluxe chairs, throw blankets and sofas, a bottle of red, white or sparkling wine upon arrival. Plus, Ritual of Jeng incense sticks! Side note, the washroom at The Grounds is not your average this year, brimming with Rituals’ scents! Tickets and full event listings are available at Zicket.
