So, I have been away for 3 weeks in the US and all I feel I did was eat and drink. I ate loads of Mexican and yes, even American style Chinese food because those are the things I really miss here in Hong Kong. Since I pretty much ate my way through the US it was very fitting that the day I arrived back to Hong Kong was the day that I received an information packet in the mail about next years Standard Chartered Marathon (and Half Marathon) which will be held on 20 February 2011. While you may think this is way too early to even think about this in all honesty it is not. Registration is now open and the deadline to participate is 31 December and if it is anything like last year spaces fill up very fast.
I ran the half marathon last year with my husband and I have to say I really enjoyed getting back into running. I was a bit lax on the training front though and if I decide to do it again this year I may take it a bit more seriously which means starting to train in a few weeks I guess. Anyone up for a run along Bowen Road now that the weather is nicer?!
