We visited SAVVY to try out one of the new curated menus designed for celebrations, with Asian favourites to share, plus premium seafood and meat dishes grilled to perfection.

The best meal is one you can share! Savour a sharing menu at SAVVY Bar, Lounge and Restaurant this season — made specially for celebrations with friends and family, with an array of regional Asian dishes reimagined for a restaurant setting and fine delicacies hot off the grill.

Gather your loved ones in twos and fours for this gastronomic journey set at the vibrant and modern eatery. We did just that — follow us to Prince Hotel, Hong Kong to try out one of the newly unveiled sharing menus.

A bar, lounge and restaurant all in one, SAVVY spans more than 8,000 square feet on just one level, blending spaces to create the ideal dining destination (that seamlessly transitions from day to night!). You know that special occasion that’s coming up? It’s time to make a dinner booking for it!

The new menus are designed for groups of twos and fours, starting at just $795 for two — talk about indulgent yet affordable! We loved how authentic the dishes felt, with delectable bites that showcased a variety of Asian flavours, cooking techniques and star ingredients. Take the live Dalian abalone for example, which is considered the nation’s best variety of abalone!

On the menu for two, you’ll find salmon tartare, Thai pomelo salad, and a sizzling tandoor combo made in an Indian clay oven. The highlight? A succulent Australian wagyu M5 sirloin steak, paired with curly fries and a black truffle dip. (Don’t worry if you opt for the larger menu; this dish features on both!)

Go bigger when you choose the sharing menu for four — like we did! Priced at $1,580, delight in a diverse selection of culinary eats, with a lovely variety so that there’s something for everyone — whether it’s due to a dietary restriction or simply a matter of preference.

We love a good Indonesian satay and the crispy fried soft-shell crab (that comes here with a Vietnamese-style curry!) was highly Instagrammable. Other notable mentions include the delicate Japanese salmon poke, Javanese rojak and SAVVY’s signature aromatic syphon-style tom yum kung.

A quick favourite among the team, the broth was served via a brewer filled with spices, lemongrass and herbs by the Thai chef; which ensures that this glorious heartwarming bowl of hot and sour soup is full-bodied and truly flavourful. And the presentation is a little bit of a show in itself — you’ll love watching it get reheated with a blowtorch!

Each cuisine here is prepared by a chef with a wealth of experience in the region — an Indian chef created the vegetarian Indian thaali set (perfect for vegans too!)!

Asian flavours meet the grill with the Teppan Grill menu, a relishing selection of premium seafood and meat. Dishes on the grill menu include fresh whole Boston lobster, Hokkaido sashimi-grade scallop, a tender Kurobuta pork chop, Miyazakigyu A5 wagyu and more. We’re already planning our next visit…
