S. Nine – get dressed to the nines!

24 July, 2012

Looking for a reason to get dressed up? Who needs one?! S. Nine makes the sheer act of simply waking up a reason enough to celebrate with a stunning frock to match!

Susanna Ngao, who graduated from Parsons and has previously worked at Diane von Furstenberg, launched S.Nine in 2009 after relocating to Hong Kong. Susanna loves the idea of being able to easily transition from day to night and designs her collection with the busy Hong Kong woman in mind. S. Nine is currently on their fourth collection called Bonne Nouvelle, which is inspired by the woods and the simple beauty of nature. We Hong Kongers can surely appreciate the idea of an escape from city life!

The collection is filled with incredibly tailored jersey and chiffon dresses that are easy to wear and easy to travel with. The intricate folds compliment the figure without hiding or showing off too much, whilst the shapes are pure magic as they draw your gaze in one direction and away from others! Many of the dresses are offered in several colours, letting you choose what is right for your event and your skin tone. The pastel palette plays on her woodsy influence and whisper of summer romances to come!

In addition to the gowns, there are also lots of separates on offer. The sheer collared top is so on-trend and has me pondering what I can layer it with! (In case you can’t think what to match it with, they also have a similar shirt-dress with sheer panels too).

I also love the leather and lace top, which mixes masculine and feminine elements sublimely. This would look immaculate paired with a high waist black pencil skirt and some sky-high heels. Add a cami and a blazer and you can wear it to the office; come night time, lose the jacket and add a clutch and you are ready to make the men melt!

If you feel the need for one of these elaborate creations to hang in your wardrobe, simply make an appointment to visit the S.Nine showroom on Hollywood Road. Susanna and her team will make sure that you are outfitted to the nines…. The S.Nines!

S. Nine Showroom, 17/F, 37 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong (by appointment only); call 2815 0884 or email [email protected] to make an appointment
