Red Alert

A certain stylish friend of Sassy pointed out to us recently that red seems to be making a huge comeback this season, so we were thrilled to find these images from Numéro’s December-January issue of model Ginta Lapina shot by Greg Kadel. Proving red in winter won’t make people think you’re Santa, from a fiery pout to colourful tights, to all out crimson trench coat glory, you can choose your comfort level. There’s something so mysterious and vamp about red done right – it makes such a statement that you are a woman of PASSION, not a shrinking violet.

I sometimes feel that red can look a bit harsh with my skin tone, so I love the bottom image where the model is wearing a totally red coat, but actually has white closest to her face. Another tip I’ve come across is that a true primary red looks good on anyone, so if you ever find a lipstick in this colour you should grab it!
