Crowd-funding for female entrepreneurs in Hong Kong
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – Hong Kong is an amazing place to be if you’re looking for inspiration for a new business or venture. There are more and more start-ups popping up all over the city, many of which are spearheaded by strong, female entrepreneurs. Just take a look at some of our awesome That Girls. Of course, we’re all about supporting and empowering women here at Sassy, which is why we are so excited to introduce Next Chapter: a rewards-based crowd-funding website specifically for women-owned businesses.
Hands up if you’ve got an awesome idea or a business plan that you want to make a reality? Everyone has a dream or goal they want to achieve, but it can be easier said than done. Starting a business takes a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears, and it can be a real struggle without any financial backing or support. That’s where Next Chapter comes in. This new online platform is dedicated to providing access to start-up funds for new businesses, as well as exposure and support from the community.
Next Chapter gives new businesses a place to share a campaign that includes their story and ‘rewards’ for supporters. Covering a range of industries, Next Chapter has already launched campaigns for bilingual books and will soon be launching one for a local entrepreneur to help artisan women in Sri Lanka build sustainable businesses. As for right now, Next Chapter is staying true to their values of supporting innovative products by hosting a campaign for Zarie Slimming Leggings.
This new athleisure brand by Stephanie Poon (a former lingerie and swimwear designer) creates leggings that are not only comfortable, but have built in active-ingredients to help stimulate blood circulation and reduce bloating and cellulite. Made with unique fabrics, the DREAM pants are the perfect everyday leggings with an extra special touch… trust us, you won’t want to take them off!
So if you’re looking for a way to turn that long-held dream into a reality then make sure you check out Next Chapter’s inspiring new website. And don’t forget to show your support to all the kick-ass female entrepreneurs on there – after all, it’s all about giving our fellow women the opportunity to grow! Let’s hear it for the girls…
