But fear not, Sassy Girls, because this summer Hong Kong has a brand new hair salon on its streets to tame those tresses! Jean Louis David has an amazing academy in Paris and is Europe’s number one hair dressing brand… and now they’ve chosen our city for its first Asian flagship store (lucky us!). And from the sounds of it, this salon is unlike any other…
Jean Louis David has over 1,200 salons worldwide, so it’s safe to say the team knows what they’re doing. It can be difficult to find a hairdresser in Hong Kong that knows how to cut, colour and style your mane to perfection, but Jean Louis David aims to make sure that all their clients are given a personalised service to suit them. One-size doesn’t fit all, and the talented team at Jean Louis David has a salon specially designed to fit different needs at different times. They have three separate spaces, each offering a unique service depending on what you’re looking for: Urban is perfect for a quick touch-up – simply drop in for a style sesh on your way to a meeting, International is ideal for that long lunch break when you can catch an hour or two of pampering, and the Private Suites section is for those weekends when you just want to treat yourself (go on… you deserve it!).
We love this thoughtful, flexible approach, which fits around our busy Hong Kong lifestyles and we can’t wait to try out all three sections. We’ve already heard great things about the high quality of the service; they specialise in highlighting techniques such as Balayage and Maches, making your hair look oh-so natural. What’s more, the attention to detail is pretty amazing… after your hair’s been styled, you get to choose from a menu of drinks and snacks and you’ll be treated to a complimentary mini make-up session, a free head and hand massage and more depending on your section of choice. And if you want to go all out and pamper yourself to perfection, Jean Louis David also offer make-up, nail and beauty services, as well as aromatherapy treatments.
