From the traditional turkey, to menus with a unique twist, three of our favourite Hong Kong restaurants are pulling out all of the stops this Thanksgiving to help you celebrate in style.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to kick of the festive season (aka the season of eating!). Whether you’re celebrating with your whole family, or having a “friendsgiving” get together, there’s no need to stress yourself out by attempting to cook for a crowd in our tiny Hong Kong kitchens, as this year Maximal Concepts are giving us a helping hand. As the group behind some of our favourites eateries in the city, this Thanksgiving, Blue • Butcher and Meat Specialist ($650 per person), Limewood ($650 per person) and Mott 32 ($1,880 for Whole BBQ Roasted Free Range Turkey in Three Ways) are going to bring back the popular festive menu in time for the celebration!
Traditionalists who can’t bear the thought of Thanksgiving without turkey will be pleased to hear that all three venues are serving up delicious variations of the bird this season. Following the success of its menu last year, Blue will be presenting the Free Range Hunter Valley Turkey, prepared traditionally with all the trimmings . If you’re looking for something a little different (but still drool-worthy!), look no further than Limewood or Mott32. At Limewood, Executive Chef Russell Doctrove will be putting his own spin on the classic centrepiece, seasoning his Free Range Hunter Valley Turkey with Achiote Marinade, giving the skin a deep red hue and complex taste that’s guaranteed to have you going back for more. Meanwhile, Mott32 is also bringing guests a very special Thanksgiving menu this year with its roasted Free Range Turkey being offered in three ways, perfect for sharing with friends and family.
At all three locations the menus will be exclusively available on Thursday, 22 November, and must be ordered 24 hours in advance. With all of the turkeys being prepared to the Chef’s secret recipes, it’s sure to be a Thanksgiving to remember.
