Hailing from Monaco, Grubers offers you delicious and affordable gourmet cheesegrubers (how cute is that name?) that are totally worth traveling just a little further for. Located in the heart of Kowloon Bay, Grubers offers a low-key and comfortable atmosphere located right next to the cinema – perfect for your casual mid-week movie date. And, if you’re running a little late, you can even bring your burger into the movies with you. (The perfect movie snack!)

The décor is minimal with industrial chic wooden tables and chairs, wire mesh walls and comfortable leather bounds booths. Spacious, bright and with an open seating plan that is so unlike your typical fast food joint, Grubers will have you blinking twice.

Using superior meat and ingredients sourced directly from Monaco and, with Cheesegrubers cooked to order, Grubers is more than just a fast food joint. This new affordable gourmet burger restaurant prides itself in serving up both flavorsome and quality burgers. (We agree!)

Because we #diditforsassy, we tried all seven of its freshly blended burger patties before deciding on our favorite. We easily concluded you cannot go wrong with any double Cheesegruber set that includes a drink and Sexy Fries for just $118. (You can also choose a side of salad. No judgement here, but just in case you’re looking to feel a little better about eating a delicious, and diet-breaking, worthy burger.)

Although Grubers freshly blended beef and jalapeno patty was our runner up, and its veggie option was impressive even for carnivores. Our favorite was Grubers’ beef and truffle blend. You can even customise your burger by adding extra toppings such as sizzling bacon, crispy onions and extra cheese. (Because, really, who can say no to extra cheese?!) Paired with its thick and creamy chocolate milkshake, you’ll be in food heaven.

It gets better because there’s more than just burgers at Grubers! With plenty of signatures sides to choose from such as its fresh kale salad and its iconic ‘Sexy Fries,’ which are coated with corn for extra crispiness, you’ll want it all.

However, we’re still salivating over the luscious chicken nuggets. These are more like half chicken nugget, half popcorn chicken with the juiciest chicken inside that perfectly complements the exquisite Cheesegrubers.

After we finished our succulent double Cheesegrubers with a side of Sexy Fries and chicken nuggets ($28 for five pieces), it was time for dessert. Again, #diditforsassy, we tried both the yummy chocolate sundae ($15) and freshly baked cookies ($15). But, what fulfilled our sweet tooth was the salted caramel chocolate cheesecake ($35), which featured the perfect mixture of creaminess.

We ended with what will surely be a week-long food coma, the perfect send off into the night. There is no doubt in our minds, we will be going back. (And, very soon!)
