Chullschick

Chullschick opened at the very end of September with promises to be Hong Kong’s best Peruvian rotisserie chicken. Located in Central, its painted walls fit right in with the Insta-worthy street-art on Graham. It’s the only place in Hong Kong with recognition from the Peru Export and Tourism Promotion Board, making it guaranteed to be the spot for authentic Peruvian dining! For an easy budget lunch, check out its quarter chicken with two sides and a sauce for $88. Other eats include Rocoto Chilli Chicken Wings, Peruvian Ceviche and a picturesque Causa de Pescado.

Infiniti C

This cute eco-friendly coffee shop just opened up in Kennedy Town and is all about environmental awareness. It’s serving up speciality caffeinated and decaffeinated coffees, and it’s also currently giving out free espresso cakes. Check out the special gluten-free menu which also features tons of dairy-free and vegan options. Its open from 8am to 10pm from Sunday to Thursday, and until 11pm on Fridays and Saturday, making it the perfect place to stop by any time for a bite.

Toripon

For an unforgettable yakitori experience, check out the newly opened Toripon. Its menu features premium Japanese chicken grilled on skewers, omakase sets showcasing the finest cuts of meat and vegetables, and an extensive selection of sake. Located on the top of Midtown Soundwill Plaza II, the outdoor terrace makes for a great view to go with a seasonal cocktail and shisha!

Zero One Coffee & Roastery New Restaurants October 2018

Zero One Coffee & Roastery

Located on Wellington Street, Zero One Coffee & Roastery is both comfy and convenient. Established by coffee connoisseurs, its team is passionate about flavour and eager to bring quality single-origin coffees and speciality beverages to Hong Kong. Chief Coffee Roaster Mars Huang was the first runner-up in the Taiwan Coffee Roasting Championship in 2015!

New Locations

Pici

Pici is slated to open its fourth and largest location in Sha Tin this November. The neighbourhood pasta bar will continue to serve the fresh, handmade pasta that it’s known for, and promises to be a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding shopping mall. Dishes will be designed by Head Chef Andrea Viglione, but favourites such as the Tagliolini, Orecchiette and Lasagna, will continue to feature on the menu.

Banh Mi Kitchen 

To celebrate the opening of its new bakery, Banh Mi Kitchen will be offering thirty free Cold Cut Classic Banh Mi at both of its locations from the 22 to the 26 of October. Banh Mi Kitchen recently opened its own centralised factory, hiring a professional baker to develop the dough recipes that are baked in the house every morning. Head to Central or Wan Chai for authentic banh mi and pick up some coffee while you’re there, it’s imported straight from Vietnam!

Carbone Alba White Truffles

Carbone

White truffle season has begun, and New-York style Italian Carbone is a great place to start celebrating! Presented by in-house Chef Braden Reardon, Carbone’s special a-la-carte menu showcases aromatic white Alba truffles from Piedmont, Italy. Dishes include a Truffle Fettuccine ($628), truffle-topped Japanese Eggs on Brioche ($488), and a Truffle Tortellini ($728) with white truffle butter and sheep’s milk ricotta. You can indulge further by adding shavings to a Carbone favourite. Make sure to book a reservation, either by email or online.

Giando Italian Restaurant & Bar

Executive Chef-Founder Giandomenico Caprioli has created three new tasting menus for the Giando Italian Restaurant & Bar, promising to be the best and the freshest way to enjoy “honest Italian cooking”. Choose from The Vegetarian, featuring five courses for $598, The Giando Menu, featuring five courses for $788, and The Chef’s Menu, featuring seven courses for $988. Invisible Kitchen

Hong Kong’s greenest catering service is taking “responsible-dining” to a new level! Invisible Kitchen has launched a 100% plant-based canapé menu, in-house filtered water (with a twist) and a new approach to micro-gardening. We had a chance to try out the “Goodness Gracious Green” vegan canapés, and our favourites include the Smoked Tomato Tartare and the home-made Vegan Cheese and Pineapple Jam Tartlettes. The launch also features a beautiful Butterfly Pea Flower based electric blue water that transforms into pinks and purples when lemon is added. Invisible Kitchen is dedicated to offering sustainable solutions, so you can satisfy your taste buds without compromising the environment.

Madame Ching Kuruma Prawn Salad

Madame Ching has introduced five new inventive dishes to its a-la-carte menu, available any day of the week. Designed by Head Chef Son Pham, the dishes are influenced by the adventurous spirit and travels of the restaurant’s namesake. New additions include the Amadai fish ($160), served with braised eggplant and black beans, a tender and juicy Suckling Pig ($210), and a refreshing Kuruma Prawn Salad ($150), featuring a combination of surf clams, tiger prawns and sweet pears. Head to Wan Chai to feast on these and more and make sure to book a reservation for dinner, either online or over the phone at 2577 7227!

Madame Fu Grand Café Chinois

Madame Fu is offering an elegant afternoon tea set, available to enjoy on its veranda or in its iconic pink room! Beautiful as always, this is a perfect opportunity for an Instagram. Spots are limited, so confirm a place and make a reservation. Sets are $250 for one or $450 for two.

Osteria Marzia has debuted a special menu dedicated to the Italian porcini mushroom. It promises to celebrate porcini by accentuating the rich and nutty flavour with coastal Italian techniques and recipes. Seasonal dishes include the Crispy Porcini ($238) covered in Calabrian breadcrumbs, a rich Zuppa di Porcini ($168) topped with a creamy parmesan sauce, Tiger Prawn Ravioli ($278), and a Porcini Crusted Sea Bream ($598). The menu is available all through October, so head to Wan Chai and remember to make a reservation!

Pop Up by Social Club has an all-new menu this month with fun twists on classic breakfasts, omelettes, and avocado toast! With tons of vegetarian and vegan eats, this is a great option for an all-day breakfast for a group!
