Away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong island, the Kerry Hotel Hong Kong has been a favourite go-to of ours in the city since its opening in 2017. Complete with stunning views of the Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, an unbeatable outdoor pool and high quality dining options, the hotel ticks all the boxes. Now, its contemporary Chinese restaurant, Hung Tong is serving a revitalised new menu, brimming with everything from reimagined Cantonese dishes, to elegant dim sum favourites.
As the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant, Hung Tong’s new menu offers an elevated dining experience. Executive Chinese Chef Ken Yu has focused on reinventing the restaurant’s signature dishes, taking traditional elements of Cantonese cuisine and drawing inspiration from international cooking methods and premium ingredients sourced from all over the world. The new menu brings together refined ingredients and world-class presentation, with must-try dishes including Baked Cod and Chinese Pickles with Salt in Lotus Leaves; Pork Ribs with Green Pepper and Honey; and the standout Steamed Fresh Crab Claw with Truffle and Winter Melon.
With dim sum a firm lunchtime favourite, Chef Ken has also enhanced and evolved existing dishes to reflect the new dining experience at Hung Tong. Traditional dim sum dishes have been made over with his signature passion and flair, to present elegant and refined renditions of classic favourites. Highlight on the new menu are sure to be the Steamed Scallop and Shrimp Dumplings, which are luxuriously finished with sturgeon caviar and gold leaf; along with the beautiful Roasted Goose Puff (pictured below!).
Open daily for lunch from 11am to 3pm, and dinner from 6pm to 10:30pm, Hung Tong lends itself for any kind of celebration; perfect for everything from impressing out of town guests, hosting a family gathering, or enjoying a special occasion dinner. What’s more, in keeping with its fresh new take on Chinese dining, the refined modern Cantonese cuisine can be paired with wines from the restaurant’s extensive wine list to further complement and enhance the cuisine, and to truly take your experience to the next level.
