Mana! Fast Slow Food

Shaneli:

Mana! Fast Slow Food is one of my go-to spots for a healthy lunch. The flats (or wraps) are jam-packed with veg and so much flavour – all thanks to that delicious zataar spice and olive oil mix they use as part of their dressing. With gluten-free and wholemeal options as well as a variety of salads on offer, this spot is always heaving around lunch so get there early to avoid the queue.

3/3rds Central

Surmayee:

For me, the hardest thing about eating healthy is finding food that’s both good for you and tastes delicious. When I’m craving the taste of pizza, but don’t want to roll back into the office after carb loading, my go-to place would be 3/3rds! They makes sure the superstars of the pizza are their incredibly fresh toppings (the three cheese with parma ham is a personal fav), while still maintaining a thin and crispy base – satisfies the cravings without leaving you bloated! Their salads are also yummy, and who doesn’t love a good (healthy) cheese toastie? If you haven’t, definitely check out 3/3rds at their new Central location as soon as possible!

Purple Tomato

Kat:

My newfound favourite healthy spot is just a hop, skip away from Sassy HQ’s in Sheung Wan making all of us girls regulars. Purple Tomato is unassuming and could be passed by if you’re in a hurry. However, don’t miss out on this gem. Run by two sweet ladies, they churn out the best salads for equally awesome prices. You can choose from a variety of fresh produce, protein and sauces to create your favourite salad. Or choose a classic Caesar, Chef’s salad, Greek or Cobb to name a few from their menus. Perhaps you fancy a wrap or soup? They’ve got them too!

My ultimate favourite has to be their Cobb salad. Fresh greens are laid down, then a healthy portion of shredded chicken, tomato, cucumbers, bacon bits, a boiled egg and crumbly blue cheese is sprinkled on top. The best bit? The freshest, ripest, creamiest avocado tops it all off. Their dijon dressing is out of this world too. Each ingredient is heaped into your box and it’s safe to say they’re not stingy with the toppings! This is the type of salad where you actually stay full. Oh Purple Tomato, we’re so glad we found you!

Knead

Winnie:

I love this super cute sandwich and salad shop that’s located only two minutes away from the office, you’ll find someone from Team Sassy there at least once a week. As a vegetarian I love how you can customise the salads and sandwiches to your dietary requirements or simply suit what you’re craving! The ingredients are always fresh and high quality, the decor is super cute and the staff are always friendly… a must-try.

Monsieur CHATTÉ

Tania:

Who said salads are unsatisfying?! When you’re looking for healthy options, it can be tricky to keep the food varied and interesting, but with a huge salad bar selection (and much more in store), these experts at Monsieur CHATTÉ do not disappoint.

With fresh cherry tomatoes, lentils, pasta, and THREE different cheeses all on offer, you can completely personalise your meal. Plus, the sesame dressing has revolutionised the Sassy Girls’ salad experience. Their lunch deal is a generous helping of salad, a homemade soup (we love the mushroom and broccoli), and a cute little madeline, all for under $100. Perfect.

Fresca

Lexi:

The first time I discovered Fresca, it was pouring with rain and honestly, we had only really ducked in for shelter. But with a particularly bad amber rainstorm underway and grumbling bellies, we took to this friendly neighbourhood salad counter and haven’t looked back since! Quickly becoming one of my favourite spots for a hearty and healthy meal that’s more than just a few salad leaves – they’re options range from hot, homemade toppings like curried pumpkin and taro chickpeas to Korean tofu (my favourite) and raw Pad Thai.

Simply choose a base of rice, salad or both and either a small (2 toppings) or large (3 toppings) box, each piled high with your favourite extras (all fresh and privately farmed!) and tuck in to a meal that’ll have you comfortably full ’till dinner time! Look out for selection of yummy sandwiches as well as their in-house gluten-free, steamed muffins and fresh strawberry ice teas. Perfect for a hot, summers day!

Home - Eat To Live

Lauren:

I only recently tried the newly opened Home, but I’ve already been back twice! This beautiful new space is conveniently located in Central and focuses on food that is good for you and the environment. I love the message of sustainability and conservation that comes with the delicious and creative food, which includes a wide variety of wraps, rice bowls, burgers, salads and more. The vegan desserts are out of the world and oh-so pretty (great for Insta… #noshame) and there are plenty of different drinks and dishes that will keep you coming back. What’s more, there are plugs everywhere and super cute nooks and crannies where you can sit and work with your laptop or chill out with a freshly pressed juice. I’ll be back again soon, I’m sure!
