Hong Kong Happy Hours: Daily Drinks Deals Around Town

Happy days!

Drinks can be pricy in Hong Kong (what isn’t in this city!), so, we’re always on the lookout for the latest drinks deals. We’ve already rounded up a couple of our favourite Hong Kong happy hours (some even run every single day of the week!), but what are you to do when you just need a drink on a Monday, or a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday? To make it easy to choose your drinking spot for every day of the week, we’ve rounded up some of the best happy hours by day. So, you’ll know where to find us on any given day! 

Monday

El Loco Gringo – Taco Mondays (and Tuesdays!)

A lesser-known happy hour, but one of our team faves, El Loco Gringo offers up free flow margaritas and tacos every Monday and Tuesday evening. From 6pm, enjoy all you can drink margaritas, along with as many tacos as you can eat (limited to two hours), for just $200.

Sassy Tip: Service isn’t the quickest, so we suggest ordering your fill of tacos in one go as food orders are restricted to a two-hour window (though there is no time-limit on the drinks!).

Wahtiki Island Lounge – Mai Tai Mondays

If your week hasn’t got off to the best start, or if you just fancy celebrating Mondays, head no further than Wahtiki Island Lounge. Mai Tai Mondays means two-for-one Mai Tais every single Monday evening from 5:30pm until late!

Sassy Tip: Every Monday to Saturday, between 5:30pm to 7:30pm, you can also grab two tropical cocktails or champagne canoes for the price of one.

Havana LKF – Super Monday

Havana LKF offers up two-for-one mojitos every Monday to Friday between 6pm to 8pm, but to help you through Monday, the deal is extended to 11pm! The offer includes mojitos and selected wines and beers, and at $88 for two, all you need to do is grab a pal and enjoy! 

Sassy Tip: Head to Havana on Wednesday for ladies’ night and order your first mojito for $88. If you share a post on Facebook, you’ll get free free-flow thereafter.

Tuesday

Commissary – Taco Tuesday

We can’t say no to Taco Tuesday, so if you’re doing a bit of shopping in Pacific Place, make sure to take advantage of Commissary’s deal! Enjoy tacos from $50 (with the more you order, the less you pay), with gin sours for just $30 all night long and happy hour drinks until 8:30pm.

Sassy Tip: The Fish tacos with slaw are a personal fave, so make sure to try one (or two!).

Sugar (Bar.Deck.Lounge) – Mediterranean Sunset

Until 29 August, get on up to Sugar and enjoy its Mediterranean Sunset promotion. Get transported to the Med and delve into cocktails such as Bacon Negroni, Kir Royal and Sangria. The best part? Order four glasses of the special Mediterranean cocktails, or two sharing jars, and you will receive a Mediterranean pizza on the house!

Sassy Tip: Taste the delicious Atlantis cocktail ($100) on the Mediterranean Sunset menu, made with Prosecco, Elderflower Liqueur, Violette, Citrus Acid and Cotton Candy, it’s a real summer treat.

Tequila Jack’s – Taco Tuesday

Yes, another Taco Tuesday, but what’s wrong with that!? Tequila Jack’s in TST offers up tacos for just $10 every single Tuesday. Couple that with happy hour drink prices (margaritas for $40 and Mexican beers from $38!) and we’re sure you’ll be hopping on the star ferry to TST in no time.

Wednesday

208 Duecento Otto – Highballs and Meatballs

Just up the road from our offices in Sheung Wan, we love popping to 208 for lunch to feast on pizza and pasta, though we may now be heading there more often on Wednesday nights. From 7pm onwards enjoy highball drinks for just $50 and enjoy pizza by the slice, juicy Wagyu-Mortadella meatballs and some crunchy fried chicken on the side.

Sassy Tip: If you happen to stop by 208 and it’s not a Wednesday, it also offers up two-for-one Draught Peroni, house wines, Aperol spritz and espresso martinis daily from 3pm to 7pm.

Rummin’ Tings – Red Stripe Wednesday & Ladies Night

A firm fave for Friday night drinks, Rummin’ Tings Wednesday night deal has us tempted. From 7pm until closing, ladies can enjoy half price cocktails and house pours, and guys can enjoy buy one get one free Red Stripes.

dragon-i – I love Wednesday

Cé La Vi – XOXO: Ladies Night

Picada – Latin Thursday & Ladies Night

It pays to be lady come Thursday night at Picada. Treat yourself to free flow-free sparkling cava from 9pm to midnight. Every Thursday Picada also hosts a free Salsa class (hosted by Franky the Salsaman!), starting at 8:30pm on its terrace, so it’s time to loosen those hips ladies!

Flying Pig Bistro

Brighten up your weekend with Flying Pig Bistro’s Saturday and Sunday happy hour. Between 9am and 4pm opt for either free flow house wines (red, white and Prosecco) for $198, or free flow house spirits (rum, gin, vodka, whiskey) for $198 (+10% service charge). With free popcorn included, we can’t say no!

Boomshack

Head to Boomshack in Central after 5:30pm from Sunday to Wednesday and enjoy a great value dinner deal! For just $98 you can get a burger (The Vintage, The Gold Rush or French Dip only), plus any drink.

Sassy Tip: If it’s your birthday this month (June 2017), show your ID when ordering and receive a free Nutella banana waffle! We’re also big fans of the curly fries with cheese and bacon, just in case you were unsure on what to order…
