Treat Yourself To The New Darphin Afternoon Tea at Kerry Hotel Hong Kong

Created in collaboration with French skincare brand, Darphin, the Kerry’s new afternoon tea set is a must-try.

We’re always looking to treat ourselves. One of our favourite forms of indulgence is food, and there’s few better pick-me-ups than a good afternoon tea. So, when we heard that one of our favourite Hong Kong hotels had a new offering, we sat up and paid attention. Created in collaboration with French skincare brand, Darphin, Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong’s new “A Touch of Gold” tea set is the ultimate indulgence.

Available in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge, the new set will be exclusively available from Wednesday, 16 October to Saturday, 30 November. Served daily between 2.30pm and 5.30pm, the menu draws inspiration from Darphin’s new product range. As a brand known for its luxurious and botanical range of skin-perfecting serums and creams, it’s no surprise that the tea set features a range of desserts inspired by the floral essence.

Taking its cue from Darphin’s new 8-Flower Golden Nectar (which contains a blend of 8 flowers sourced from around the world and 24-carat gold flakes!), guests can look forward to trying a selection of decadent sweet and savoury delights. With a touch of gold adorning the tea, guests are greeted with a jasmine tea smoked salmon tartare with panna cotta, fennel pollen and an apple and dill amuse bouche, paired with a golden nectar elixir. Other savoury items include a confit duck croquette with pistachio and rosewater gel, along with a coronation crab, sea buckthorn, almond and radovan brioche.

Executive Pastry Chef Julien Gourmelon has also created a range of desserts especially for the tea. Dishes include a grand cru chocolate mousse, and The Kerry fraisier with strawberry, almond genoise and Kirsch. Not forgetting the scones, which are served warm with clotted cream, homemade berry and rose jam, lemon and jasmine jam and a chocolate and hazelnut spread.

Priced at $638 (+ 10%) per tea set, guests will also be treated to an exclusive Darphin gift. Sure to leave you feeling indulged and pampered, samples include the 8-Flower Golden Nectar, Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood and Redness Relief Soothing Serum.
