From artist palettes to our own palates, art is taking over the dining scene this month!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that March is Hong Kong Art Month and the city is going art mad! With Art Basel (arguably the biggest art fair in the world) going on, as well as numerous other art fairs, exhibitions, shows and parties, it’s set to be a busy time of the year. And art isn’t just restricted to galleries – it will be infiltrating the dining scene, with tons of art inspired menus on offer. One place not to miss for all the best arty dishes and drinks is Lan Kwai Fong. For the first time, it will be hosting the ‘Savouring Art Week’, which sees 12 different restaurants create unique art-themed food and features special solo-exhibitions from famous artists!

So who is taking part in ‘Savouring Art’? Well, we’re very happy because it includes some of our favourite restaurants such as: Azure Restaurant Slash Bar, Bread Street Kitchen, CÉ LA VI, Ciao Chow, FoFo by el Willy, Fovea, Jinjuu, Mercedes me, NUR (one Michelin-starred), Porterhouse by Laris, Sichuan House, and Townhouse. These hot and happenin’ restos are the places to be during art week, as they’ll each have art-themed dishes and drinks on offer. Whether it’s Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish or Sichaunese, they’ve got you covered with art infused specialities no matter cuisine you’re after! Order Savouring Art dishes and drinks during the promo period and you’ll score special offers on your meal, including 10% off at the restaurant, buy-one-get-one-free on drinks, complimentary bites, dessert or a drink. We don’t need anymore convincing!

But that’s not all, because the awesome artists Mr. Brainwash and Javier Martin will treat art lovers to special solo exhibitions. Check out all the details below:

  • Life is Beautiful – Solo Exhibition by Mr. Brainwash from 21 – 31 March, 2016, 6pm ‘til late at 17 – 22 Lan Kwai Fong, Central.
  • Lies and Light – Solo Exhibition by Javier Martin from 24 March – 2 April, 2016, at Loft 22, 22/F California Tower, Lan Kwai Fong, Central.
