Sassy’s Guide to Holiday Party Dressing with Sabrina x KOTUR

What to wear to your next Christmas party…

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! While we may not have a white Christmas in Hong Kong, we can still celebrate in our own fabulous 852 way. Plus, there is one perk to not having mounds of snow to shovel – okay, two perks – you can show off your festive attire with ease thanks to the absence of heavy winter layers! In this seasonal post, I’ll show you both how I’m wearing some holiday looks and how you can score a similar style too. And because we love supporting local brands here at Sassy, I’ve paired them with the latest and greatest in KOTUR clutches! Time to spread a little joy to the world… and to your wardrobe.

And you thought only Rudolph could light up the night! Wait until you step out in a fabulous little red frock and watch those heads turn. I paired my S.Nine dress with a strappy black Fendi heel and this art deco inspired KOTUR clutch but this bag looks perfect when set off against a simple garnet slip dress too (or how about this silky red number from Grana?). Match the lips and nails in an equally merry hue and keep the accessories simple with just one statement piece. Tie it all up in a bow with these Nine West heels, which make a great present! Even without the Guerlain candle some might even say you glow. Now get ready for a not so silent night!

We don’t have to have snow for you to get inspired by a winter wonderland, but you can be your own Frosty covered in shimmering blue and white! I opted for a white suit to set off the KOTUR blue glitter clutch, but you can easily reverse this look and go for a blue suit and white blouse like this silky smooth one from Grana. Toss on a smattering of gleaming accessories from the likes of Giuseppe Zanotti, a Skaagen watch, and an Alexis Bittar ring and you will surely be a silver belle! Use this Benefit highlighter to add a little twinkle to your eyes and cheekbones for a smile that shines.

“Holidays are joyful, there’s always something new,” sings the late great Karen Carpenter. And this year we have the updated #GetSmartBag from KOTUR which holds your iPhone right on the outside of the clutch. Now you can stay connected without emptying the contents of your bag to do so. Because this bag is so small and sleek, it pairs well with really over the top pieces. I teamed my hot pink version with a very big and bright Ellery coat and BCBG jumpsuit. This cranberry clutch is the perfect pop of colour for the very over the top Tamara Mellon gold fringe kimono (please Santa! I’ve been so good!). Because it’s essential to decorate every branch, I’ve also added a few luxe bangles and a pair of on-trend ear jackets from The9thMuse’s own recently launched TWELVEoTWO collection.

Now for my favourite part – the parties! I go for the gold in my P.A.M. cage dress and heel, but you can get a similar look for your feet in the Valentino rock-stud cage flats. These are so comfy, you’ll be able to stay up all night dancing away… or waiting for Santa! What better to rock around the Christmas tree in than a dress that is truly evergreen? It will last season after season with this classic shape and fit. Spice it up with a bold feather necklace and this glitter globe clutch from KOTUR. You’ll be shaking and shimming all season long. Fill this sleek black H&M vase up with a mash of bold blooms and bring them to the hostess of the moment and she will surely be grateful.
