You Won’t Want to Miss Hong Kong’s New Symphony of Lights Show

30 November, 2017

Light it up!

On Friday, 1 December, ring in the weekend with the opening night of the newly redesigned A Symphony of Lights! Known the world over for captivating audiences, this new and improved version features a range of innovative light designs such as lasers, LED displays and more. It will now include lights on iconic buildings on both sides of the harbour. Combined with the melodic sounds of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, this brand new show is a truly dazzling experience.

One of our favourite free events, the show starts at 8pm, as usual but you’ll want to grab a spot early – especially on the first weekend. The prime vantage points for viewing the show are Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai and, if you’re keen for something a little different, we’d recommend watching the display from a boat or ferry! For a special treat, get a table at Aqua for a spectacular view.

Can’t make it to the opening night? The debut will also be livestreamed across social media platforms like Facebook and Youtube – so, even if you can’t physically attend, you won’t miss a minute of the stellar display!

From Friday, 1 December – Thursday, 28 December, A Symphony of Lights will be followed by the Hong Kong Pulse Light Show. You can view that from the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Open Piazza.
