Looking for some (pre) Christmas retail therapy? Here’s where and when to shop at Hong Kong’s holiday fairs and markets.

Christmas is just around the corner, so we’ve put together a list of upcoming fairs, festivals and bazaars in the 852. Whether you’re looking for some last-minute Christmas gifts, or simply want to splurge a little, here are some of the best deals around town to help you get your shopping done in no time (and perhaps snag a little bargain for yourself too!).

Xmas Market 2019

Discovery Bay Sunday Market
Hop on a ferry and head to the Discovery Bay Sunday Market. Well known for its arts and crafts stalls, you’re sure to find something for yourself and whoever you’re gifting this year. When the post-shopping hunger hits, enjoy dinner at one of the designated restos at the D’Deck and you’ll be treated to a free ferry ride back to the island.

When: Sunday, 3 November, Sunday, 24 November and Sunday, 8 December, 11am to 6pm
Where: Discovery Bay Main Plaza, Discovery Bay, Lantau, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry!

AWA Charity Bazaar
The AWA Charity Bazaar is back for another season! On Thursday, 7 November, PMQ will host a variety of Hong Kong-specific shops and businesses. There will be plenty of options perfect for anyone and everyone on your gift list. In the spirit of the holiday season, proceeds will be contributed to education scholarships for local students and charitable grants for the needy throughout Hong Kong. There’s nothing better than shopping for a good cause!

When: Thursday, 7 November, 11:30am to 7:30pm
Where: PMQ Marketplace, 35 Aberdeen Street, Central, Hong Kong

Xmas Market 2019

St. John’s Cathedral: Charity Christmas Card & Handicraft Fair
Get set for the festivities this year and shop a range of unique handicrafts and beautiful cards. The best bit? You’ll be spreading love along the way by supporting a charitable cause as all proceeds go towards various different Hong Kong charities who will have stalls at St. John’s annual fair.

When: Saturday, 8 and Sunday, 9 November, 10am to 4pm
Where: Li Hall, St. John’s Cathedral, 4-8 Garden Road, Central, Hong Kong

The Gift and Lifestyle Fair
Organised by Prestige Events at Conrad Hong Kong, The Gift and Lifestyle Fair bursts with inspiration for all your holiday gifting. Merchandise stalls from more than 150 vendors will be showing a wide range of homewares, gifts, jewellery, fashion items, accessories, food and more.

When: Tuesday, 12 November, 10am to 8pm

Early Christmas Sip & Shop Gift Fair
With a variety of designer brands to choose from, this two-day event is an artsy pre-Christmas fair for you and your friends to relax and indulge in a light retail therapy session. Located in Central, the market doesn’t close until the evening, so be sure to stop by and check it out!

When: Friday, 15 November, 11am to 8pm
Where: Anita Chan Lai-ling Gallery, G/F Fringe Club, 2 Lower Albert Road, Central, Hong Kong

Xmas Market 2019

Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar
Danish pastries, anyone? Check out the Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar which promises to be full of these traditional sweet delights! Shop designer brands, while feasting on Swedish treats, and pick up those all-important decorations and ornaments, at the same time as enjoying some live music. Your buying power will do more than a little good, as all profits go to the Danish Seaman’s Church in Hong Kong.

The Good Gift Christmas Fair
Save the date! On 23 and 24 November, Crossroads Foundation and Fair Trade Hong Kong are inviting you to an ethical Christmas marketplace. Expect family activities and plenty of opportunities to fill your Christmas stockings with social enterprise and fair trade gifts, all while snacking on ethically sourced food and drinks.

When: Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 November, 11am to 7pm

Pre-Christmas Gift Parade
The Prestige Events shopping fair returns to Conrad Hong Kong this season. In addition to all the pop-ups, you can expect a curated selection of jewellery, fashion, accessories, homewares and even items for that special someone on your list.

Christmas Glam & Glitters Fair
It’s not Christmas without a little holiday shopping, and the Christmas Glam & Glitters Fair is a good place to start. With countless stalls to check out, you’ll quickly find yourself immersed in a pool of cashmere scarves, organic beauty products, handcrafted accessories and more!

Stanley Plaza Christmas Happy Chemistry
Set against the breezy seaside backdrop of Stanley, Christmas Happy Chemistry is the perfect festive winter day out. Look out for vibrant photo spots, a “Smile Laboratory” experience zone, festive shopping booths and more!

When: Saturday, 7 December to Sunday, 22 December (Saturdays and Sundays only), 12pm to 9pm

Christmas Gift Festival
In case you’re still on the lookout for your final Christmas presents, you’ll be sure to find all you need at the Christmas Gift Festival by Prestige Fairs.
