Global FloatDance, dance
It’s time to get jiggy with it around the streets of Hong Kong (safely, of course!). Global Float is a huge phenomenon that seems to be taking over the world. The 852 edition is simple: download an epic music mix, meet up, put your headphones on and boogey around the city together. The music will be announced here so stay tuned for it before you whack it on your phone. Grab the girls, have a glass of wine and let loose around town! This is silent disco on a global level…

When: Saturday, 18 July, 9-10.30pm
Where: Meet at Pier 9 in Central, Hong Kong
How much: Free!

Shock Wave Pool PartyThe wetter the better
It ain’t summer in Hong Kong without a good old-fashioned pool party! Cool down by having a splash about or laze on a deck chair at W Hong Kong’s Shock Wave Summer Series Pool Party. The WET rooftop pool is the highest outdoor pool in HK (and that’s definitely something to brag about in this city of skyscrapers!) so you’ll get to experience the beautiful night sky while sipping on cocktails. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the after-party at WOOBAR.

When: Saturday, 18 July, 8pm ‘til late
Where: W Hong Kong, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon, Hong Kong
How much: $400 in advance or $500 at the door, which gives you access to the pool party and after-party as well as one standard drink at each venue. Tickets available here.

bumpSummer junkin’
A junk party is a summer staple in Hong Kong that can’t be missed, avoided or topped… until now. What if we told you that there is a junk party so epic it needs not one but two boats joined together to keep the party going? Check out Bump. on the ocean where our fave DJs will be spinning tunes while you swim, dance and have an all-out good time. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided, but make sure to bring your own snacks.

When: Saturday, 18 July, 10am-6pm
Where: Departing from Central Piers at 10am
How much: Tickets are $700 and available from www.ticketflap.com.

Pretty WomanWalkin’ down the street
Pretty woman, the kind I’d like to meet… Oh, Edward and Vivian… they’re part of the greatest love story ever. They’re both very similar, screwing people for money. Not caught on yet? Catch a screening of Richard Gere and Julia Roberts’ flick Pretty Woman at the Hong Kong Open Air Cinema Club. After all, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the iconic film. Head over to The Hive in Wan Chai for an outdoor screening of the well-known rom-com. See you there!

When: Saturday, 18 July, 7pm
Where: The Hive, 21/F, The Phoenix, 23 Luard Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
How much: Tickets are $120 with two drinks and snacks included. Shoot an email to [email protected] to RSVP.
