This past weekend while browsing the May 2010 issue of Prestige I found my latest style crush in the “My Favourite Things” section. Sarah Rutson, the fashion director for Lane Crawford, was featured and while I liked many of her favourite things (her soft spot for rescue animals made me melt) what I am seriously loving most is her style. Her entire look is just flawless to me and absolutely without a doubt the exact look I am aspiring to channel these days. I can just look at her outfits for days and it seems as if she never misses a beat as she has tons of pictures on the internet looking fabulous. I mean, working for Lane Crawford is a definite plus in the wardrobe category but I have a feeling that Sarah just has that little something extra that makes everything she puts on look effortlessly cool yet classic. Among her fashion favs are Givenchy, Rick Owens, Azzedine Alaïa and Lanvin so I think these designers will now be my go to for fashion inspiration, that is, after the lovely Sarah of course!
Style Crush – Sarah Rutson from Lane Crawford
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I lived in New York City for three years before moving to Hong Kong in May 2008. Moving to Hong Kong has been one of the best decisions I ever made! I am a total city girl and pride myself on being able to navigate the hills of Hong Kong in 5-inch heels. I am quite certain though that I will face plant one day on Pottinger Street and I just hope no one will be around to witness it. I love all things fitness related and I am at my happiest when doing Tree pose on my yoga mat.
