My sister is getting married in September which means on top of wedding planning she is also planning her honeymoon to Italy. Being that I have never been to Europe I am totally jealous of her trip. With so much going on with her wedding she does have professional help in the planning of her honeymoon and I was totally drooling when she was telling me about her Vespa and bicycle rides throughout many of Italy’s most beautiful landscapes.
Typically I don’t do too much research when jetting off to a holiday. I am the girl who is fine with having my hotel and flight booked in advance but saves any other research/activities for when I get to my destination. This usually means that I end up at all the tourists traps and don’t really experience the real essence of where I am traveling. I really do think there is something to having a bit of help from experts when planning a holiday away and I have to say the two times I did have a structured itinerary (when I travelled to Vietnam and Nepal) have been my favourite trips since moving to Asia. Now, I am not downplaying the beautiful countries themselves but it was so nice to have a set plan for each day and an expert who can pull from the best things each country has to offer.
I am now seriously reconsidering my “do it yourself” mentality when it comes to big holidays away. I think the best way to see a country is how the locals see it. A new company I just heard about it called Europe In Style and they are dedicated to making your visit to Europe about the local experiences not just your typical tourist destination. They know all the secrets of where the fabulous views are, the best hotels, the most discreet and romantic restaurants, and we can’t forget the to die for shops (I have heard they can even secure discounts for you too!).
The travel consultants at Europe In Style don’t just shove a generic itinerary into your hand and send you on your way. They work with you to figure out what you like and what you really want to get out of your holiday in Europe. They can advise you on the best Burgundy wine tasting sessions, luxury private shopping tours in Paris, private boat tour in Portofino and so much more. They also are very honest with you in how long you need to stay in a particular place so you now whether you can fit one or two more cities into your holiday. You can view sample itineraries on their website.
Sassy Deal: Europe In Style is offering Sassy members 50% off their normal consultation fee which I am totally going to take them up on as soon as I get around to finally booking a holiday in Europe. They normally charge $100US ($776HK) a day which means you will only pay $50US ($388). To redeem this offer just email firstname.lastname@example.org and mention that you are a Sassy member.
