Fighting with your follicles? Scratching your scalp in confusion at what your hair-raising problem could possibly be? Driven to want to tear out your lifeless, dry or greasy hair? Never fear, the best hair advice in the world is coming to Hong Kong…
Philip Kingsley – the acknowledged world expert in hair care (and the man who coined the phrase, “bad hair day” is coming on his first visit to Hong Kong from the 1st to the 3rd March, when he will be based at the The Mandarin Salon at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. During his stay he will be available for a maximum of 10 one-to-one appointments to assess and advise on hair and scalp problems, each of which will be followed by a professional grade treatment normally only available in London and New York at the Mandarin Salon. Each two-hour session is priced at HK$3,000 – not cheap, but a bargain when you consider the quality of advice and treatments you will receive.
“Philip Kingsley is a world-leading expert on hair and scalp health,” says Andrea Clark, The Mandarin Salon’s Creative Director and Manager. “We are delighted that he will hold private consultations at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong because normally clients would have to fly to London or New York and be put on a long waiting list to see him in person. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for both men and women in Hong Kong to take the first steps towards finding a solution for their long-term hair or scalp problems.”
On Monday 1 March, Philip Kingsley will give a presentation at The Mandarin Salon’s monthly “SOS (Save Our Style) Night”. Starting at 7 p.m., the event features a theme focussing on hair health. The evening begins with Philip Kingsley’s speech during which he is expected to give a lively talk on how to turn troublesome hair into a spectacular mane of glory. He will share advice and answer hair-problem questions from attendees. This workshop is rounded off by vital information about hair styles, make-up advice as well as hand massages by our resident experts. Tickets are priced at HK$200 each and are limited to 30 guests only.
