If you’re looking for special baby or children’s gifts in Hong Kong, there’s a new must-visit address in NoHo: Petit Bazaar on Gough Street. This magical little shop is filled with the most charming French (and some Japanese) items, from handmade knitted and sewn toys, to crib bumpers, rugs, mobiles and baby fashion accessories. As soon as I walked in, I could feel that telltale sign that here was a place I would most likely be spending a LOT of money over the next few months!
There are too many adorable things to even mention, and I love the way they have little “rooms” set up so that you can see how the pieces fit together. I’ve got my eye on a blanket, light-shade, wall decals and knitted elephant’s head to go on our nursery wall! I’d also be sorely tempted by some of the tiny little bikinis which my head tells me are a little unnecessary, but my heart tells me to love! My husband fell in love with a Russian Doll stuffed toy which plays La Vie en Rose as a nursery rhyme, so I’m sure we’ll be back to pick that up.
Browsing on a Sunday at Petit Bazaar is also a fun people-watching activity as it’s definitely attracting the Hong Kong hipster parent set, so you can get baby style tips just by hanging out there too!
