Melissa Lo Jewellery

21 December, 2010

I love going to all the fun Christmas fairs there are in Hong Kong – from the huge one at The Conrad which the whole world descends on, to the little boutique fair at The Space last week, there are always great things to discover, even if the things I picked up are destined more for my wardrobe and dressing table than to be given as gifts! One of my absolute favourite discoveries this year was Melissa Lo jewellery, which is just the prettiest line of pieces I’ve seen, and one which I know I’m going to be indulging in plenty more as now I have one necklace I’m also wishing for earrings, bracelets and rings… Melissa Lo’s jewellery is generally all in gold, and very fine and delicate looking. She uses a lot of semi-precious stones which means that the pieces have a lot of colour, and they somehow look very young, fresh and modern. I only wish I had discovered her in a little more time to pick up some pressies for female family members as they’re very affordable too.

Onto my favourite pieces… The necklace I chose was the one above which has three drops of Rainbow Moonstone, Blue Topaz and Amethyst (GBP125). Also on my wishlist are these fabulous gold bracelets (also GBP 125) which I’ve seen girls wearing stacked five deep which is a very cool look.

These smokey quartz earrings are such a sophisticated colour – they’d work perfectly for winter and are GBP89.

I also love this “disco” necklace which is made up of shimmery little gold leaves. The photo really doesn’t do it justice, but it really would give you that luxe boho look over your bikini and kaftan (GBP165)…

Melissa Lo Jewellery is based in London but can be ordered online, and she regularly visits Hong Kong so be sure to keep an eye out for her next show!
