I don’t know any girl who isn’t a sucker for cute packaging when it comes to beauty products. A fun and cheerful outside design looks simply lovely sitting on a vanity or bathroom counter and a lotion packaged in a pretty way is typically my go to gift when I want to pick up a little something to brighten up someones day. I have been eying up Love & Toast, by Margot Elena (also the creator of Tokyo Milk, Lollia and Nectar + Pollen) for a while now and have bought it for several friends but never really got around to taking anything home for my own use until recently when I found myself “having” to spend a few extra bucks at Harvey Nichols in order to qualify for a free gift promotion.
I picked up the Lemon Mint lip balm and tucked it away in a closet thinking someday I may pass it on to a friend when I needed a last minute gift. I discovered it again when I was packing for my Easter holiday to the US and neatly tucked it into my travel cosmetic bag for the long haul trip back home. I am not a loyal lip balm user so I was shocked at how often I reached for it during my 16 hour flight. For me it was like a little treat every hour on the hour. I loved reaching into my bag and whipping out the adorable lip balm pot to pamper my dry and chapped lips. Since things can get a bit boring on such long flights this little beauty ritual become my saving grace and even on the ground I am still finding myself using it constantly. While the packaging is cute the product itself has made me very happy and when I return back to Hong Kong my plan is to stock up on Love & Toast products and hoard them for myself rather then gifting them out to my friends!
Love & Toast can be purchased at Harvey Nichols, Sense of Touch in LKF and Naked in Causeway Bay. The previous locations are just from my very own research so if you know of any other places that sell it please let me know!
