Head to Wufang Home Furnishings and Home Goods Store if you are looking for a home renovation. Offering a range of supplies from wall-tiles to lights and furniture (both customised and ready-to-buy!), it is recommended that you go to both these furniture giants together since they’re only a 15- minute walk apart. For main hardware such as cabinets, bed-frames and lights head to Wufang Home Furnishings. Home Good Store provides more home furnishing items such as floor-tiles and various home decor. Since both malls are made up of smaller shops, you may have to directly arrange shipping arrangement with the shops individually. A guide and translator is also recommended.

Directions: From Shenzhen Lo Wu station, head to the bus terminus. For 2 yuan, take Bus route number 1 and get off at Tian Ju (田具) Station, you will find yourself outside of the Home Goods Store. Wufang Home Furnishings is a 15 minute walk on the same side of the road (following traffic!). Alternatively, you can chose to take a taxi from the station.

The Art Design Centre is separated into three different buildings which offer a range of homeware that can fulfil every home decorator’s needs. From small decorative pieces to paintwork and hardware, the design centre also stocks up on fabric and crafts where custom furnishing are made available depending on the store. A onsite design museum showcasing original custom-made designs is also open for viewing for those in need for a spark of inspiration. Modern Design 100

As its name states, Modern Design 100 offer a range of top-quality modern home and office furniture. The designs originates from popular early twentieth century modern designers. Other than furniture, they also offer a range of contemporary home accessories and lighting options. Buyers can opt to go to the showroom to be inspired by the interior decor or also order directly online. All products are made to a specific size, however some products will have the option for customisation. For packing and delivery, Modern Design 100 doesn’t include delivery fees so buyers will have to organise delivery services separately.

Slightly further away from  Shenzhen, Lecong town in Foshan district produces the biggest market for furniture in China. Whatever the furnishing style, colour or type, your best bet is hidden in Lecong Town. Most notably, the Shunlian Furniture City which has around 400 domestic and foreign brands and offers a variety of home, office and outdoor furniture ranging from contemporary and classical styles.While you’re in Lecong city, head to Lecong International Furniture City and Lourve Furniture Mall for more furniture options and styles.

Directions to Lecong City: Take a ferry from HK to Shunde or Zhongshan and from there take a taxi to Lecong Town (around 45 minutes). Various furniture malls will be situated in close proximity of each other.
