Sassy Road Tests the G-Shot!

17 November, 2014

We’re all aboard the au natural bus at Sassy, but sometimes Mother Nature just needs a little push in the right direction… or should I say spot. It’s not something we dwell on often at Sassy, but occasionally we venture into ‘what if’ territory, which happened a few months ago when we stumbled across an article about a new non-invasive treatment called the G-Shot, that claimed to turn your sex life from drab to fab in mere seconds.

Intrigued and skeptical, we talked about it for a minute, and after a few moments everyone except for me forgot. Curiosity got the better of me and after reading more testimonials about outrageous orgasms, I threw caution to the wind and booked a consultation with Dr. Winnie Mui to get the G-Shot (G-Spot Amplification) at Lauren Bramley and Partners in Central. Dr. Winnie Mui is a fantastic physician with an interest in Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine, General Practice and Paediatrics. She specialises in turning back the hands of time naturally while avoiding wind tunnels – if you get what I mean.

This nervous Sassy girl is a bit afraid of needles, and asked Dr. Winnie Mui a million questions about side effects before going ahead with the treatment. The G-Shot is a non-surgical procedure invented by world-renowned gynecologist David Matlock MD, MBA, FACOG, that can temporarily enhance a woman’s sexual experience for 3-4 months. It was created in 2002, and in a study that same year, 87% of women surveyed after having the treatment reported enhanced sexual arousal/gratification. It involves injecting collagen straight into the G-spot to enhance sensitivity and the width and height of the area. Results do vary and it’s recommended for normal sexually functioning women. In short, it makes good things great, but don’t expect miracles.

My boyfriend and I never had any problems in the bedroom department, but since there was no chance of bondage gear coming out any time soon (sorry ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’!), the G-Shot seemed like a good way to spice things up! So, after a few deep breaths I booked my appointment for lunchtime. Dr. Winnie Mui was calm and confident as always and immediately put me at ease. It hurt a little bit for about thirty seconds when the local anesthetic was administered, but after that I didn’t feel a thing. The effects were immediate and that evening was a lot of fun.

Our sex life was already fantastic and this made it ten times better. The results wore off gradually over three months so there wasn’t a huge anticlimax – pardon the pun! The price tag was hefty ($9,000), but I think we broke even because we spent less time out for dinner and more time in our bedroom. Definitely worth trying if your sex life could use a spot of help.
