Hooray! We made it through the first month of the year. Now it’s time to indulge a little and celebrate a very special leap year month with tons of exciting events. Apart from Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day (it’s seems like everything has come at once!), there’s plenty to do in the 852 this Feb. From internationally acclaimed theatre acts and hilarious comedians, to foodie fiestas and awesome parties… it’s all here in our February For Your Diary!
CNY Burgers at The Butchers Club
Start off the new month with a sinful indulgence at The Butchers Club. The CNY spirit has inspired the Chefs to create a special new burger, The Fei Jai. This limited edition beast of a burger is on the ‘secret’ menu, and uses many of Hong Kong’s favourite flavours and ingredients. Think pineapple buns, Chinese cabbage, char siu and even wonton skin! An unusual combo that would definitely be fun to check out over CNY.

Mulled Cider and Crepes Party
Enjoy an evening of exclusive spiced apple cider and delicious homemade crepes at Patis French Bistro! Get your February sugar fix with these delicious crepes that can be topped with sugar, salted caramel sauce or Nutella (drools all over keyboard…). If this cool weather holds up, a glass of comforting cider at this cosy venue is the perfect way to stay warm.

Flower Markets
During the festive period over Chinese New Year, the city will be filled with the scent of fragrant flowers and seasonal plants, all of which are available for sale at the local Flower Markets. These markets will be bustling with activity this month, and it’s the perfect opportunity to pick up some pretty and lucky blooms for you home. Black and White Party
Let you hair down and don your best dress to celebrate the start of the month at the Fringe Club’s ‘Black and White party‘. This exclusive event is a great way to meet new people or simply have a good time with friends. Sip on a cocktail and be transported back the year 1913… you’ll feel like you’re in a black and white movie!

Rewind 1st Anniversary Party
In celebration of their first anniversary, Rewind invites you to party with some soulful house and techno, spun by German DJ ‘&Me’. We love Rewind’s chilled out parties and awesome music, so we’re sure that this special celebration will be just as good, if not better. The warehouse setting and ‘sexy electronic’ music will be a nice change of pace from thechart-topping tunes at many of Hong Kong’s generic watering holes.

Natixis Rugby Cup 2016
Rugby fan? The Natixis Rugby Cup 2016 is back, featuring French Top 14-league contenders, ‘Racing 92’, against Super Rugby Champions ‘Highlanders’. This will be the first match to feature a Super Rugby club in Asia, so make sure you head over to the Siu Sai Wan Stadium to show your favourite team some love!

Super Bowl Celebrations
The Super Bowl is one of the most important American sporting events. Every year flocks of people either attend the thriving game or crowd on sofas at home with their favourite snacks to cheer on chosen teams. Chinese New Year Race Day
To kick off the Year of the Monkey, join in on the action at the Chinese New Year Race Day, one of HK’s most popular horse racing events. The Jockey Club will be featuring a full programme of traditional and colourful festivities, including a grand opening show, a traditional lion dance and a variety of entertaining, cultural performances.

The Vagina Monologues

Pulse 3D Light Show
This spectacular light and sound show will once again be returning to light up Hong Kong’s skys for the CNY celebrations. Be amused by 3D graphics and images projected onto the façade of the iconic HK cultural centre and clock tower, complemented by melodic symphonies. The show runs four times a night for those who just cannot get enough of this impressive display!

Circus in Town: Bianco by NoFit State Circus (UK)

The 44th Hong Kong Arts Festival
The HK Arts Festival is a major international arts festival that occurs annually during the months of February and March. This year, over 1,400 outstanding international artists and local talents will perform at different venues around town. Club Cubic presents Tiesto in Macau
World famous DJ Tiesto is coming to Macau this February to put on another unforgettable show! ANAIA – Island School Fashion Show
A group of students from Hong Kong’s Island School are once again hosting their annual fashion show, ANIA. The event is held in support of an organisation called Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre, which works to help cancer patients in Hong Kong. Be sure to come along to watch these talented young adults showcase their designs and contribute in raising money for this worthwhile cause.

Russell Peters in Macau
World famous stand up comedian, Russell Peters, will be performing in Macau for the first time ever! Malt Masters: Whisky Festival
Malt Masters’ whisky festival is back, with a host of unique whisky brands to tempt any whisky loving ladies. You’ll also be able to try the rarest whisky among all distilleries… sounds like whisky business.

Social By The Sea
Make a difference this February by supporting Lifelong Animal Protection (LAP), as they hold a charity dog walk to support their cause.
