Shoes: Pleasure and Pain

The Victoria & Albert Museum’s critically-acclaimed exhibition, Shoes: Pleasure and Pain, is set to arrive soon  in Hong Kong, for a one-month spell. “Shoes: Pleasure and Pain” combines anthropology and art to explore how shoes can cause both pain as well as pleasure for the wearer, as well as how footwear choices reflect human and societal behaviour. The unique exhibition features over 140 pairs of shoes from around the world and from as far back as the 14th century, including footwear created by iconic designers or items worn by international celebrities.
