José Parlá’s second solo exhibition at Ben Brown Fine Arts’ Hong Kong gallery, “Phosphene” unveils a new body of work created by the New York-based Cuban artist after a near-death experience with Covid — touching on retinal closed-eye hallucinations, art as a meditative process and en plein air (outdoors) painting.
