Café do Brasil Presented By Para Site

Before HEYTEA and soufflé pancake restaurants, Café do Brasil was the place for people to hang out and chat over caffeinated beverages. Situated right in the corner of the second floor of in Tsim Sha Tsui, the cafe was well-loved in the 60s and 70s by young intellectuals eager to discuss radical social thought and politics. Now, curator Qu Chang hopes to replicate the spirit of Café do Brasil in Para Site’s latest group exhibition.
Spanning two floors and featuring 28 artists, groups and speakers, the show examines the notions of individuality and collective spirit under the regulatory influences of physical and metaphorical spaces.
Time: 12pm to 7pm (gallery closed Monday, Tuesday and Public Holidays)
