Second Draft

What happens when you combine the mind behind some of Hong Kong’s coolest, most innovative and extraordinary gastro-destinations with the team dedicated to bringing premium craft beer experiences to the 852? Well, you get Second Draft of course; the culinary brainchild of Chef May Chow (#girlboss) and The Ale Project. We all know – and love – Little Bao and Happy Paradise, but if you find yourself further east on the island line then Second Draft is a must do for a spectacular time. You’ll have May Chow’s signature twists on old classics, mixed in with a casual down-the-road drinking spot with a difference: the beers here are no joke. On top of excellent local and international beers, customers are treated to the entire Young Master Brewery collection and all beers are carefully temperature controlled to ensure they’re enjoyed in their optimal condition. Even the happy hour is unique, with a drink-dependent and ever-changing discount to keep you on your toes.

When: Weekdays from 4pm to 8pm
Where: 98 Tung Lo Wan Road, Little Tai Hang, Tai Hang, Hong Kong
How much: 20% off all beers on tap

The Socialhouse

This almost hidden French/Italian-inspired casual fine dining eatery is exactly what you’d expect to (struggle to) find in hip Tai Hang. The Socialhouse is a combination of flavours and approaches to the dining and drinking experience that reflects the neighbourhood’s modern charms. And its dedication to fresh ingredients and quality dishes is what makes it a Tai Hang favourite. The Socialhouse encompasses what so much of us love about this city: a vibrant embracing of cultures and concepts that invites you in and asks you to stay a while. Plus its daily discount on a vast selection of drinks makes it just that little bit easier to extend your visit.

When: Daily from 5:30pm to 7pm
Where: Shop A, G/F, 12-13 Shepherd Street, Tai Hang, Hong Kong
How much: 15% off all house beers, wines and cocktails

Tipsy Restaurant and Bar

While Shakespeare may have asked “What’s in a name?” the name of this community favourite tells you exactly what you’re in for. But Tipsy Restaurant and Bar has something hidden up its wonderfully curated sleeve! Unexpected joys like oysters and white wine are what life is all about and Tipsy wants to help you live life to the fullest with a seasonal special (above and beyond its happy hour): $148 for four oysters and two glasses of crisp white wine ALL DAY. Yes, you read that right. Just be sure to check if oysters are in season! Tipsy might have a playful name but it’s serious business when it comes to offering its customers incredible food and top quality drinks in a space that is contemporary and cool (and has an outdoor terrace!). Its down under meets down-to-earth and we are all for it. Oh, and just in case you needed another reason to get (too) Tipsy, it has a daily free-flow package, too.

When: Daily free-flow lunch from 12pm to 3pm, free-flow dinner from 9pm to 12pm and happy hour from 5pm to 9pm
