This one’s for all the Kowloon-based ladies! We’re letting you in on our little TST secret, Scarlett Café & Wine Bar, as an early Christmas present. Tucked away on Austin Avenue, this quaint and cosy resto is the perfect place for catching up with the girls over a glass of vino and some delicious French fare. The relaxed vibe, great selection of wine and tasty treats on offer make this a must-visit for a chilled out Christmas celebration. Searching for an alternative Christmas feast? Consider TRi a suitable choice with their 8-course festive menu consisting of fresh, unique Balinese dishes! Start off with a raw tuna, betel leaf, spicy green bean grilled coconut salad, followed by minced pork satay with spicy sauce and cucumber refreshers, smoke duck steamed buns, braised shank and so much more… We also feel the need to mention the Banana Goreng. Think crispy fried banana, pumpkin puree, ice cream and ginger scented sponge cake that all comes together for an unforgettable ending.

The Optimist

If you still haven’t made it to The Optimist, December may be the best time of year to do it! Think Christmas dining with a Spanish twist – The Optimist is hosting a fab festive semi-buffet brunch, which will include roast turkey with an array of sides, tapas style. Prefer an extravagant Christmas dinner? Indulge in the 5-course Christmas feast consisting of their signature dishes – juicy steaks and grilled Galician octopus to name a few – and of course end with a seasonal Christmas dessert. Book in advance, this one will fill up quick! Can’t make it on the big day? The Optimist is also serving festive specialty lunch and dinner menus from 1 December.

The Continental

The Continental’s terrace has been transformed into a winter wonderland, strung with twinkly lights, spinning holiday tunes and naturally, many gastronomical delights! Give way to the elaborately festive 5-course menu consisting of tuna tartare and black truffle followed by a main of lobster medallion with gingerbread crumble; end the meal with an eggnog soufflé and wash it down with wintery beers, mulled wine and an array of whiskey offerings. There will be lots of cheese fondue too, we’re talkin’ ooey gooey Gruyere and warm, melty Raclette… the perfect addition to literally every meal.

Le Bistro Winebeast

Counting down the days until Christmas?! So are we – consider spending one of them on a gorgeous not-so traditional holiday feast, and head to one of our fave little French spots,  Le Bistro Winebeast. The restaurant will be serving an exclusive Christmas Eve 5-course menu with creative flavour combinations like cream of chicken with black truffle, seared red tuna and pan fried foie gras with a poached peach, and a dessert that involves Madagascar vanilla ice cream, pistachio, and fruit soaked rum… Yes, please.

Aside from the fabulous Victoria Harbour views at Watermark, the classic setting makes it an ideal choice for a ceremonial Christmas dining experience! Their holiday menu looks fabulous too, including their free-range chicken served with a chestnut purée, pan seared barramundi and grilled beef tenderloin with foie gras. Their vegetarian options look to die for too – how good does baked goat cheese and roasted beet tart and saffron risotto sound? We’ll have one of everything…

Pomegranate Kitchen

Tis the season to be jolly – and very full of food! Pomegranate Kitchen is offering a wonderful, seasonal holiday menu which includes mouthwatering delicacies such as creamy butternut squash with thyme, squid stuffed with current, pine nuts, parsley and chorizo and an epic carving table serving a whiskey and clementine glazed ham (served with all the trimmings). Yes there will be salad offerings and of course there will be sweets too – you’re guaranteed a great time at kick-ass catering company.

‘Tis the season, girls! The season of eating that is… And at Pirata’s Italian kitchen they’re not messing around with their festive holiday menus. Aside from month long specials, they’ll be hosting Christmas Eve and Christmas Day specialty brunches and 5-course dinner menus. Expect cheesy Christmas cheer – literally, a lot of cheese, an entire carved out parmesan wheel filled with creamy risotto to be precise. For the 5-course dinner you can expect wild boar ragout, red wine and juniper berries, sea bass and steak with the freshest herbs. Your tastebuds will be dancing the night away and thanking you for this one.

The chef’s list consists of dishes using the best French winter produce, with a contemporary twist. Love a little paté? Then your tastebuds will tingle at the thought of house made pork belly and pistachio terrine made with Landes goose foie gras; followed by a main of pan-fried venison. This the place to come if you’re looking to celebrate Christmas with a seriously cool vibe… we just love the artwork at this resto!

This winter just got a whole lot warmer with the festive dishes Mr. & Mrs. Fox have added to their menu for the holiday season. Think applewood smoked turkey, foie gras studded beef wellington and an amazing brown butter pecan pie. If you’re feeling adventurous, opt for one of their seasonal Swiss dishes, wienerschnitzel and spaetzle served with lemon capers and brown butter. We love this Quarry Bay resto for it’s lavish interior and the truly great staff, who are sure to make your holiday meal a fun one!

The Globe

Nowhere does a traditional British Christmas dinner quite like The Globe! It’s our go-to for big group get-togethers – the Christmas Lunch is only $350 per person and you can choose from three starters, three mains and two desserts, or opt for the Christmas Dinner at $475 per person… expect classic Roast Turkey with all the trimmings (we’re talking chestnut stuffing and homemade cranberry sauce), a warm, welcoming environment and plenty of drinks. This is the closest you’ll find to the quintessential British pub in HK!

Jamie’s Italian is holding true to Italian tradition with some festive sharing dishes. Three separate menus will be available from Thursday, 1 December; the Festive Lunch set menu, the Festive Formal dinner menu, and the WOW menu group gatherings (ten people or more). This special group menu exudes Christmas, with Rudolph’s rocket fuel (root veg wholesome soup), Turkey Wellington and more, all intertwined with big Italian flavour.

Brick Lane

Known for serving up classic British dishes, Brick Lane are going all out for the festive season and bringing the 852 their Holiday Dinner Set Menu. Available throughout December and into the New Year, opt for tastes of home with a delicious Turkey Dinner with Stuffing and all the Trimmings, or go for another of the amazing dishes available (Beef Tenderloin with seared foie gras? Yes please!) Then soak up every drop of the festive mood and finish your meal with a sweet treat of Biscotti and Chocolate Dip!

With a panoramic view over Victoria Harbour and delicious festive food to boot, it’s hard to turn down the Christmas Dinner at Alto! The set menu offers a delicious choice of three starters, four mains and three desserts; but we’ll definitely be sticking traditional and going for the Roasted Turkey Breast, with sweet potato, French beans and cranberries and then finishing off our feast with the freshly baked and comforting Apple Crumble and cinnamon ice cream.

Gaucho’s Argentinean cuisine is spreading the Christmas cheer with their special Christmas menu and cocktails. Create your own Holiday dinner from a list of Gaucho signature dishes; including classic chorizo, a range of empanadas, rib-eye and chimichurri and dulce de leche cheesecake. Dining with a group? The Christmas Sharing Menu will delight with a set menu of similar dishes including cranberry stuffing, a braised bacon cabbage dish and red wine cranberry gravy… What’s more, on 26 December, there’ll be a DIY Bloody Mary Station!

Celebrate the festivities with one of the best views of the harbour at Café Deco. They’ll be hosting a 4-course Christmas Eve dinner with some of our all-time favorite dishes… highlights include creamy butternut squash soup, grilled scallops on leeks, a Festive Christmas turkey, filet mignon with a gorgonzola crust and baked lobster Thermidor. A feast fit for a queen! They’ll also be hosting a Christmas Day brunch and if it’s anything like their regular brunch menu, you don’t want to skip it!

Treat yourselves this Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and enjoy a lavish and decadent brunch at Zuma! Serving up a Baikingu Christmas Brunch, the menu will include a selection of signature Zuma dishes, as well as some more seasonal and festive delicacies. The Market at Hotel ICON

They had us at Chocolate Yule Log cake! The Market will be a hosting festive brunch and dinner buffet offering a mix of traditional Christmas and fusion fare. At brunch you’ll honey glazed ham next to the roasted turkey, with Braised Snake soup and Peking duck somewhere in between… The dinner menu has more options for the refined foodie taste, from pan fried goose liver to Boston lobster, an array of fish dishes and a mouthwatering selection of desserts. This is a fail-safe spot to indulge this festive season!

Have a luxurious Christmas feast at one of the top restaurants in the world  with the 8-course Christmas menu from Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental! This is drop-dead gorgeous restaurant is the place to come for a special occasion, and what could be more special than spending the festive season with your loved ones? It may be one of the more expensive Christmas menus, but you won’t be disappointed here if you’re looking for luxury!

KITCHEN is going all out for Christmas this year, offering over 80 festive dishes at the Holiday buffet! Think traditional Christmas with a whimsical twist; an array of homely salads from quinoa cranberry to roasted corn and mint, a seafood bar, sushi and sashimi station and warm up with one of the comforting soups (we love the creamy truffle mushroom!). If that’s not enough for you, perhaps the Lemon Basil Thai roasted turkey and Australian lamb rack with roasted pumpkin, braised chestnuts or a kale-broccoli stir fry will? Yes, kale is on the menu! The Mistral at Intercontinental is known for decadent Italian flare and flavour combinations; when their Christmas Eve & New Years day 5-course dinner menu was released, we were excited to say the least. How good does homemade egg tagliolini with lobster bolognese and truffle foam sound to you? And that’s just one dish… to top it off, even Santa is expected to make an appearance! Indulge the night before Christmas – you deserve it!

Bostonian Seafood and Grill Langham Hotel

Our favourite shipyard style resto hidden at the bottom of the Langham Hotel, Bostonian Seafood and Grill, is offering a selection of festive semi-buffet menus throughout the month of December. With a spread of tasty appetisers and an array of holiday mains that use only the best seafood and meat, this is another guaranteed crowd pleaser   They aren’t falling short on sweets either, the Chocolate Symphony, a concoction made up of chocolate, raspberry and passion fruit sounds right up our alley!
