We have been cheering for our home countries over the past week as we watch the Olympics in Vancouver but tomorrow the three of us will be rooting for our adopted country!
Short track speed skater Han Yueshuang (28 years old) is the only Olympian sent from Hong Kong and tomorrow (24 February) is her last chance to go for the gold. She failed to advance in her 500 meter and the 1,500 meter races but our hopes are now on tomorrow’s 1,000 meter qualifying race. This is Han’s last competition before heading into retirement so let’s hope that for this Olympian the third time is a charm.
