Cham Pale from M.A.C

11 January, 2011

M.A.C‘s new beauty collection for January is a true celebration: inspired by one of our favourite beverages, Champagne! Filled with the shimmer and sparkle of gold and pale metallics, the Cham Pale range is a welcome respite from all the heavy, dark makeup we’ve been seeing over the festive period. As always with M.A.C ranges, the product names are a huge part of the fun, from the “I get no kick” Eye Kohl to the “Let me pop” Paint Pot…

We’re definitely always in the mood for a pale lip here at Sassy (attempts at sporting real grown-up red or dark lips have been met with hilarity by our husbands), so we’re picking out the Sin-tillation lip gelée (above HK135) and the Tanarama lipstick (HK135) below as our must-haves. The Tanarama lipstick looks pretty scary in the tube but goes on as a gorgeously subtle and sheer colour to give a lovely nude effect that will be great with a bit of a tan. I’ve been looking for the perfect nude lipstick for forever and I think this is a very strong contender!

I’m also excited to try out the Very Important Platinum nail lacquer (HK110) as I’m too stuck in my ways when it comes to my normal Kyoto Pearl from OPI and need to switch things up a little… Finally, a great look on darker skin would be this Chilled On Ice paint pot (HK150). If you haven’t tried a M.A.C paint pot before, they’re highly pigmented eye shadows which are very long-lasting, and even if you’re ham-fisted with makeup like I am, you can pretty easily smear it on with your fingers and still get a great effect.

The Cham Pale collection is available at all M.A.C Hong Kong locations.
