The best part about working with a bunch of Sassy girls is the ability to learn from one another. We always check out each other’s clothing, jewellery, makeup – you name it – and none of us are too shy to offer up our secret “must have” items. Because we always share the love, here’s a peek into our own personal stash of goods, hoping you, too, can find something that makes you feel just as fab as we do!
I never, ever leave the house without my bright red lipstick. My ultimate fave is 714 from Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick collection. This lippie is mega matte, long wearing and boosts my mood and confidence when I put it on, even on days when I’m just wearing a tee, jeans and some sneakers (let’s be real, that’s me every day). The formula is remarkably comfortable for a matte red, and with one swipe of this shade I can go from day to night in two seconds! Minimal effort with maximal results… yes, please!
Available at Urban Decay counters at Lane Crawford in Times Square or Facesss in Harbour City.
Everyone knows living in Hong Kong (especially in the summer time!) means you often need a quick spritz of perfume to freshen up before you meet up with your S.O. or girlfriends. I never leave the house without my travel size (30ml) Atelier Cologne fragrance in Clémentine California. The fresh citrus scent with a hint of sweetness is definitely the perfect pick-me-up for anyone who’s schlepped around the island in 30+ degrees and 100% humidity. Plus, mine came with my name engraved on the leather case, because who doesn’t love having something personalised?!
Available at Atelier Cologne at IFC or Lane Crawford.
After having tried every lip balm you can imagine, I discovered this magic worker whilst I was nursing – let’s not get into how. Made of medical grade lanolin which holds up to 200% of it’s weight in moisture, this super balm hydrates my lips like no other. Because it’s chemical free, I even use it on my kids whenever they get a small cut or when they have a patch of dry skin. I never, ever leave the house without my Lano LIPS HANDS ALLOVER superbalm!
Available at Net-A-Porter
Lucas’ Papaw Ointment is a staple in my handbag – especially whilst travelling on a long haul! The handy little red tube pops conveniently into a purse, and can be used on anything from dry lips to sunburns, insect bites and splinters. The product uses Australian papaya to naturally cleanse and relieve – though it does contain petroleum jelly, so (as with all products) use in moderation!
Available at most Mannings Stores around Hong Kong
My number one beauty product that I can’t leave the house without is YSL Touche Éclat! Whether I’m looking to cover up tired eyes, brighten up my cheeks or use it as a primer for my lips and eyelids – Touche Éclat is my magic tool that helps me go from frazzled to fresh with the click of a button!
Available at YSL
I always make sure I carry my Dior Addict Lip Tattoo with me whenever I head out to tastings or go to events. The colour stays put, and it doesn’t leave bright lipstick marks on everything my pucker touches (napkins, champagne flutes, my husband, etc). Better yet, I don’t have to refresh because the stain is meant to last 12 hours!
Available at Lane Crawford
I never leave home without Burt’s Bees Res-Q Ointment. I absolutely cannot stand getting bitten by mosquitos (I have sweet blood, apparently, and this happens frequently in summer!), so this soothes like a charm when I’m out and about and in a bind. I also use it as cuticle oil, or over a pesky spot that may have erupted on my face or to calm a blister-in-the-making.
Available at pharmacies around town
