There are some stores that Hong Kong really feels the lack of – Urban Outfitters and Topshop are ones that I always think would make my shopping experience in HK a whole lot easier. Another one is American Apparel – for basics that have a little bit of an “edge” and which can be styled up or down for either a preppy or super-trendy 80s workout look. From plain cotton tanks and t’s, to slinky body-con dresses, wet-look leotards and neon leggings, American Apparel can fill that gap in your wardrobe when you need a key layering pieces or simple throw-it-on-and-go looks. Thankfully Lane Crawford have figured out, that if American Apparel won’t open a store in Hong Kong, they’ll bring the range to their stores instead!
Starting April 9th at the Lane Crawford in ifc, you can be the first to check out the range. We foresee this launch being a huge success, so if you know you’re a standard size, or have a specific piece you’re lusting after, we recommend getting there on the opening day itself as it’s sure to sell out in record time. I know the American Apparel pieces I currently have in my wardrobe have been worn so much that they’re starting to show signs of holes, so I’ll definitely be heading down to stock up!
