A very Sassy jewellery party at Monica Vinader, Hong Kong!

We’ll admit it – we’re addicted to jewellery at Sassy HQ! We love all things bling, so of course we were more than excited when we were heard that Monica Vinader was launching its first stand alone store in Hong Kong – and in Asia! Coveted by celebrities, this brand is simple yet elegant, offering up affordable pieces that tread the line between fine jewellery and fashion jewellery. We were invited to the brand new store for a fabulous jewellery party, which gave us the chance to check out the new space and see these stunning bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces up close…

The team at Monica Vinader kindly handed over the whole store to our Sassy team for a couple of hours so that we could browse the jewellery and learn a bit more about the brand (whilst sipping on champers and nibbling on canapés of course!).

We were introduced to the various collections, which include the sophisticated diamond adorned ‘Alma‘ collection, the art deco style ‘Baja Precious‘ collection and the cool and casual ‘Fiji‘ collection to name but a few (see all the different collections here).

It was so much fun browsing all the beautiful designs – from gemstone rings and rose gold bangles, to delicate diamond earrings and pretty pendants, we felt like kids in a candy store! As much as we all loved the entire range, we did end up having our favourites… check out some of our picks below:

Aydee fell in love with the Alma collection and the glamorous diamond designs. She tried on a pair of sparkly drop earrings that would be perfect paired with a gorgeous gown for a formal occasion. She teamed the look with some matching diamond rings, like this Riva Diamond Hoop Ring in rose gold and sweet stacking rings, like this Siren Diamond Small Stacking Ring and this Skinny Eternity Ring. With some simple Fiji Chain Bracelets to complement the elegant earrings, she was set!

Lauren was a big fan of the gem stones, especially the cute little stacking rings! She put three of the Siren Stacking Rings together, which included Labradorite, Moonstone and Black Line Onyx. These little gem rings went perfectly with the Siren Medium Bezel Pendant in Moonstone that she layered over the Ziggy Petal Pendant.

Our style blogger extraordinaire, Sabrina, took a fancy to the Baja collection, and rocked the Baja Diamond Ring with the Baja Long Ring with Black Onyx. Paired with a couple of sparkly bracelets like this Baja Bracelet in Diamond and this Skinny Short Bar Bracelet, she definitely looked the part!

Sammy couldn’t resist this stunning selection of bracelets, which include the gold-plated Mini Marie Bracelet the Atlantis Gem Mini Bracelet. She always looks great with her simple and delicate jewellery, so these little bracelets would fit seamlessly into her style!

One of the things we love most about Monica Vinader was how we were able to stack pretty pieces to create our own unique, original style. We mixed up collections, combining colours, materials and patterns to create our own individual looks that we loved.

And the fun didn’t stop there! We were lucky enough to score one of Monica Vinader’s signature friendship bracelets, the Bali Friendship Bracelet in Rose Gold! The coolest thing about Monica Vinader’s friendship bracelets? With every purchase, you receive a free engraving! Yep – you can doodle whatever you like to your heart’s content and they’ll be able to engrave your design onto the disc. You can even choose text in a variety of fonts… we were so excited and busily doodled away!

This engraving service is not just available for the Bali Friendship Bracelet, it can actually be done on  all the different styles of friendship bracelets. Choose from a huge range of colours for the cord and a selection of different materials, shapes and sizes for the actual disc or engraved part of the bracelet.
